Flesh Eye vs. Mind Eye is a bullet hell shoot em up! Assume control of your fleshly eye and dive into the depths of your brain! Shoot and dodge, as you make your way to your minds eye.

Mind Eye is always distorting and exaggerating everything Flesh Eye sees! Flesh Eye has had enough!

Controls: Mouse controls your eye, and mouse left click shoots. Click the eye to begin!

Edit: It's come to my attention that there's a very small chance the bosses wont spawn. They spawn based off a target number of enemies you kill and i left out a ">" sign. :( Sorry about that! If the first boss doesn't spawn after about a minute, (if you've been steadily killing enemies) then you probably over shot the target. Only way to restart is to die.

Really good in every category !

I like this type of games but I'm really bad at it... one thing that could have help I think is making the powerups more distinct (maybe even a bright color). Readability is very important in this type of games, and you did it very well apart from the powerups.

Oh and I really like the idea "Flesh Eye vs. Mind Eye"

I was really surprised to see not just a second level but a second boss aswell, and different enemies, all with a really nicely scaled difficulty curve, bravo on the balancing.

The art and sounds weren't the best, without being bad either, and the gameplay was really fun, but that's probably because I love bullet hells. (This was more like a bullet purgatory, it never got ridiculously hard)

Only complaint is probably that the title screen looks really bad and that the bosses don't have any healthbars, the game also lacks some polish here and there, nothing too big though.

Hey thanks for playing and the awesome feedback! Yeah the title screen has some weird scaling issues with the font and the eyeball. I really suck at that stuff especially. The bosses do have health bars but they're super skinny red lines directly on top of the boss......so i dont blame you for missing it.
      Thanks again for playing!

Great idea and love the creepy atmosphere. Love the level transitions and it controls and plays well for a bullet hell - happy with the power ups and that they could stack!

Hey thanks for trying it out! I wanted to make the power ups stack to even greater degree based on picking up multiple of the same power up but time was cut short. Thanks again!

    Oh my a different game!

Great game set in a very creepy dark place. Like the graphics and that you have so many different types of enemies and bosses. Don’t have anything to add, Great job :)

Really liked this game, it was short and sweet and had a good and fair amount of difficulty. One thing I wish this game would have had is some more visual feedback from killing your enemies. Just some minor screenshake or small particle effects would have done the trick. Other than that, this was really nice!

Thanks for playing! Yes, I cringe when playing it again.... and the enemies just disappear. Makes me cry haha. Such an easy thing to do but I neglected it.

Very interesting use of the theme! The graphics are neat, the music is nice, and the game is fun too. The powerups are my favourite part.

Like that other person said, you should hide the mouse cursor. It's not too bad, but it can be little distracting.

Very good for your first jam game! I liked the sorta creepy aesthetic. The music added to that very well, as did the darkness of level 2. The powerups were all fun to stack. I avoided the double-eye until I realized it didn't increase my hitbox...
The challenge was medium. Was able to beat it on my second try. I haven't made a bullet hell game like this before, but I assume boss attack patterns are tough to do.

For this type of game I would definitely hide the mouse cursor, which is a simple checkbox in gamemaker's preferences.

Hey thanks for playing and the kind feedback! I had planned on more difficulty but i had to cut it short when i realized that the jam ended in 3 hours instead of 9 haha! Thought it would end at midnight. Its easy to make bust your balls bullet patterns, but its hard to make fair bullet patterns ha!

Doh! That darn mouse! Knew i forgot something.
