STORY:

You play as "BrainBot", a robot created in a lab to solve logical puzzles. After months of testing you have had enough and decide to break out from the lab. Your only property is a plasma gun that is able to interact with certain objects. With that, you have to get out of the lab by solving puzzles and overcoming obstacles.

CONTROLS:

•Move, jump and double jump with the arrow keys;

•Shoot with Z;

•R to restart level;

•Toggle fullscreen with F4;

•Open the menu with ESC;

KNOWN BUG(S):

Trying to exit the boss fight before defeating the boss may crash the game.

Don't go back to a previous room after destroying a controller. The spawnpoints are bad and you have to redo the puzzle.

The project file is not working. We happend to export an old version of the game. Use the windows version instead.

    Lovely concept! I included it in my GM48: One Tool, Many Uses compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/le9JcWgAZag

    Some level are better than others, but overall nice game. I really like the puzzle where you have to jump on the ball!

    One thing to watch out for: the game over sound is way louder than other sounds/music

      Haha, I'm glad someone liked that ball puzzle. That is like the biggest complaint of this game. Thanks for the feedback. I guess the game over sound didn't ruin the experience that much.

    Really liked the animations and the variety of mechanics. The music was great, too. The basketballs were a bit frustrating, but Brain Bot delivered on a lot of levels and did a lot with the theme. Great job with a fun game!

    It's a little rough around the edges (it's somewhat glitchy and there is some questionable level design) but overall this a very well done game.

    You have a good number of different ways to interact with the world using your "tool" and I like how the mechanics get combined in many different ways. I like how the final boss makes use of one of the previous mechanics too. The only major complaint is that the basketballs can be quite difficult to maneuver.

    The presentation is also pretty decent. The visuals aren't amazing but they look nice enough and fill their role well. The sound effects are all well chosen and music is good too.

      It seems like everyone thinks the last basketball puzzle is too hard but no one got stuck at it- not even my dad. It’s a place where you think that no one below your skill level can complete it. Thanks for the feedback! It will help us improve a lot.

    Fun little game. Gets a bit long after a while. The balls are a bit annoying to work with. If it wasn't for the feedback, I wouldn't have guessed I'm supposed to jump on a ball moving upward. Which defies logic. Try that with a basket ball in real life and you'll see what I mean!

    I wanted to try to beat the boss but I accidentally took the door :/ Guess I'll commit suicide in the congratulations screen!

      Thanks for the feedback. I know, my games always a bit too long (Karma and Archie’s arrow). This time, it’s because of the theme. We wanted to add many mechanics as possible and use them in many different ways.

      Oh no. You found out that you can skip the boss. It was added in the last hour together with the very rushed congratulations screen and the main menu. We didn’t realize you could skip it until we had to submit.

    Hi Team Golden Games. Fun little game. I liked the fade in effect between rooms and the neat mechanic where you shout the construction element to move platforms. The music did get a bit repetative

      Thanks for the feedback. The theme made us try to add as many puzzle elements as possible that required the plazma beam and therefore came up with some unique elements like the platforms. It looks like people has very different thoughts about the music. Some people says it’s awesome but not everyone. That’s music!

    I managed to get to the end, and I'm really impressed with the amount of content here. You even managed to get in a boss fight at the end, which caught me by pleasant surprise. The level designs were decent though I was able to break the intended route a few times (not always a bad thing). The music was pretty good but the death sound and other sound effects were way too loud.

    I think the biggest flaw is that the basketball puzzles are hard to understand and should have been simplified a bit. In particular, trying to get a basketball to go upward is really challenging, and then trying to jump on top of it while you knock it upward makes it worse.

    But overall, this was quite good!

    P.S. I had a good laugh when I discovered that you can jump to your death on the congratulations screen. =)

      Thank you for playing our game and the long, positive and critical feedback. The shortcuts was intentionally made in the later levels to make them easier and make the smart players actually feel smart. Sorry for the difficulty of the very last ball puzzles. They were even harder before they were tested.

    Fun little puzzle platformer. Simple graphics, but effective. Good tutorial system and multiple music tracks! :) The theme was used ok, and I had a good time with it, nice entry.
