Tic Toc Timer is a game based around guessing times. Analog times. Guess the wall clock's time quickly to rack up points. Get as much as you can before time runs out!

    Ah yeah, the 8 surprised me. :o It feels inuntuitive at first to input the time; That passed, it's kinda fun to try to guess the time correctly. I was pretty good at it!

    The overall game looks charming and it feels satisfying to guess correctly. That said, the game lacks some kind of substance, might be a bit too simple

      My thought process when making this game resulted in a lot of the greatest and worst parts of this game. My team that I lazily tried to get together inevitably fell apart, and I was left to do a whole game alone.

      I gave myself the challenge of: "What is the most polished game that I can produce within this time limit"? I'm always a sucker for polish and flavor, and to me, I was fine with releasing a lesser game so long as it spared no expense to try and get the best polish possible for myself to accomplish.

      This thought process led to two things.

      1. This is probably my most polished game, period. The audio is a bit lackluster due to me not understanding the rules prior to entering, but I can say I made really good use of the tools available.

      2. The gameplay, at its most, is basic. I didn't realize it at first but honestly the concept is pretty lame, and not much is actually done with it. I would love to give the excuse "This is only a jam version, it'll be updated with more depth soon!" However, this project uses Marketplace assets and is therefore unable to be updated further beyond the bug fix I applied. The issue is that I used the temporary GM48 license. I think its a bummer that project files made during the GM48 license cannot be carried on with after the license "expires" but I guess its another shallow business method to convince me to buy a 100 dollar software.

      Anyways, thanks for your feedback. This game was a solid learning experience. I'm not sure if my decision for this jam was "the right choice" as its ultimately about what I and the users that play my games value. I'm not sure that this little project of mine would get any attention if it wasn't for it's polish. Maybe with a larger team next round I can give a game more content, and keep the polish. Who knows.

    Fun game! The art was good, and the UI felt nice and natural to use.

    The gameplay was challenging and fun!

    Perhaps the time could be entered by adjusting 4 vertical scrollable lists of numbers? This could make it more playable on other platforms too, such as mobile!

    I have an analog wrist watch so this game was insanely easy for me.

    Not counting the bugs, I think (as another user said) this would be a fun mobile game for kids learning how to read a clock!

    Good job on the art.

    My hubris has been my downfall. I can't get a very high score in this game, and i'm sure anybody who's been in the discord can already figure out why: I can't read clocks. My score and review are obviously biased on this fact. I do however think the art is good. Besides the fact that the gameplay is out to get me in particular, i do think that its a little bit lacking in substance, but this is understandable; it is a game jam after all.

    Graphics are very cute, I think it's the best part of the game. The music and sound fx are very nice too. The gameplay is original and quite funny but it makes the game too short... The theme is a bit present with the timer but I think that it is a bit insufficient. A mobile version could be really funny especially for young kids who're learning how to read a clock. I really like this one.

    Ok so heres what ive gathered from the game

    it was super short-lived and difficult because the numbers seemed to be a little messed up on my keyboard (it wouldnt enter into the number-pad) and it was really hard, too because there were no numbers on the clock or anything special, so it was really hard to guess

    but on the other hand the art and effects were really cool and if the numbers were working fine, i would say this game would be really awesome!
