I only realised that the jam was happening 2 hours before the deadline, but i had only been working on this game within the 48 hours. Add in an electrical storm that cut power and internet twice in the last 2 hours of the game jam, it has been a memorable and exciting first complete GM48
As Blocks fall from the top of the screen, use the mouse to drag and combine the numbers to create Eights. Combine Fours to explode Bricks, before they turn into Boulders. Watch out, because as the Eights collect at the bottom of the screen, the number of available tiles you can use will decrease!
You can get the post-jam version here.

Interesting and challenging game. I included it in my GM48: Collect! compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/7cH9DVFtgzM

Wasn't sure at all how I was supposed to play or what the rules were, but once I figured it out I thought it was pretty clever. Controls were intuitive and responsive. It felt good to see all the 8's stacking up at the bottom of the screen. I was having fun until I had a bunch of 6's and 7's blocking everything else and it became impossible to keep up and match anything. Also didn't like those black blocks that I couldn't swap through, felt unnecessarily unhelpful. Also, the beginning of a new game was quite slow, would have liked to see an option for a couple lines of numbers to start the round off with. Cool idea, well executed, I see potential with this!

A very simple but very fun game. I can easily see this doing very well as a mobile game with just a bit more polish. Great job!

Really interesting concept, the description could be a more clear though, in one of those "I didn't understand anything, I'll find out while playing"
It's pretty fun seeing you 8's stack up!
One thing I noticed with my 2nd try is that setting up matches actually helps a lot (got like 1300 points I think). But that also means the start of the game is pretty slow. Maybe the game should start with a line or two of block already in place.
On the other hand, I think the game lacks some kind of ways to deal with stuck numbers. Like you can easily get 6 or 7's in a line that will block pretty much everything until you get that many 1's and 2's. Which is very unlikely. There's also no way to get past a block, which is a fine limitation, but I feel like there should be a way to deal with this.
There's also a big issue for block dropping. I often try to move a block and add it to a newly spawned number, thus ruining my play. I think you should at least indicate where a block will fall, since you already have a timer.

Thanks Fache for the review.
As I joined the jam with less than 24 hours to spare, I wasn't able to fully implement the features that I wanted in the complete game, most of all being weighting the probability of what numbers drop and when. I have fixed this in the post-jam version of the game which you can download once I update it.
Talking about the description of the game; in it, there are instructions on how to get past a block, which is to combine two fours in close proximity to blow it up.
As per your advice, I have also added a ghost block, that shows where the next block will drop.
I have tried and tested having numbers already on screen before the game starts, and i feel like it makes the start of the game more confusing and trying than easier or fun, in the same vein as if you were to start Tetris with rows and junk blocks already present. Instead of this, I've reduced the grace period of dropping grey blocks from 16 tiles down to 3, so now there is something for you do in the early game.
Thankyou for playing and rating my game, and giving me valuable feedback. :)

"For goodness sake drop a '1'!" is not a phrase I though I'd be shouting before playing this game! I think this is an instant classic kind of game, like tetris but with a unique twist! With a bit more time and polish, this would make an excellent mobile game! Nice job! Please expand this beyond the game to add music and a title screen then put this on mobile!
