Shoot your enemies, collect fuel, and collect health packs to keep your ship flying
CONTROLS W:Speed up S:Slow down LMB: Shoot
if you run out of fuel you will not die but you cannot speed up or slow down or change your direction of travel.
Read Baku's review, that was my exact experience. Some music and random pitch offsets for the sfx would have gone a long way. Also the UI was quite small, maybe consider making it a little easier to read? Seems like there's potential here but the mark was missed in giving the player a reason to stay engaged.
Juicy little game, but unfortunately I quickly found a strategy to easily cheese out the game and basically keep playing forever with doing much: just fly off in one direction, and keep drifting in that direction while shooting the enemies and bullets that wizz by, slowly racking up points without losing fuel or health. If there had been some limited ammo or overheating system, that could've been mitigated
Man, this game feels great. The sound that shooting makes, the way you move and look around, the art style, it's all great. Even the way the screen shakes for no apparent reason - that's great too. The camera work is incredible. I can't believe you did that all with GameMaker. My only critique is that fuel feels a bit rare. I could totally see playing this one in my downtime.Submitted
