Summary
Cave Descent Duel is recognized as an unfinished prototype with basic mechanics implemented. Players appreciate the character graphics, movement, and swimming feature, but note the lack of polish such as missing art, sound, menus, and theme relevance. Gameplay balance issues and the need to restart after death were also mentioned. Overall, the game shows potential but requires significant completion and refinement.

Since it's so unfinished there's not much to comment on. However, I really like the graphics for the player/enemies, and it's cool how you can swim.

Unfortunate you couldn't finish your game in time. I liked the characters and attack animation, but that is all there is to it. You have to relaunch the game each time you die :(

Since this game is unfinished it doesn't surprise me too much that the debug text is still there, or that there is basically no art or sound, or even an actual menu, or any relation to the theme.
But the player shouldn't be able to shield and attack at the same time, and shielding shouldn't make you invincible from all directions. That said, the movement feels pretty good for just a prototype, and swimming is an added bonus.
Still, this game is so unfinished I couldn't possibly give it a good rating, but the basic stuff is all there, you just need to add music sound and balance some stuff.
