I kinda mixed my Ideas for alone with companion. its a simple physics base puzzle plat former. nothing to fantasy.
I hope you all enjoy it!
game pad is supported
arrow keys / D-pad (movement and menu navigation)
A key/ A-Button (Jump and menu select)
D Key/B-button (Swap Characters/toggle auto follow and cancel menu option and Fast text)
R-Key/ y-button (Restart level/game)
esc key (force close game)
So a few notes here for anyone who's interested.
I feel like not all mechanics are well explained in game. so just to clarify
- THE BALL CAN ONLY PUSH THE BUTTON WITH MONUMENT;
its to light to press it down normally like the box, so look for ways to gain speed.
and lastly I still have No musical talent whats so ever, so thanks to game maker marketplace for free music.

- Ball can get stuck on buttons if she activates one while still being in, forcing you to restart
- The physics are kinda strange. It feels a bit jittery sometimes.
- Love the way you introduce the story! I didn't expected the box to animated.
- At the beginning, the music feels appropriate, but then, it gets kind of rocky with the drums getting excited while it doesn't feel very fitting to the game
- Box. Ball.

Yeah, that's a bug I didn't notice till after the jam was over. sorry about that.
-
i'll keep working on it. hopefully next time i do something like this It be better.
-
Thanks, I was just a random thought in my head. I'm glad I went with it.
-
I wanted eerie music for the opening, but after box joined I wanted to shift to puzzle time like music. but I tried and failed so I just uses what ever free music I could. though The failed music was repurposed in to some of the sound effects.

I've was playing pikmin 2 a bit before the jam started. :3
Thanks For The feedback, I really appreciate it!

Even though the game looks really polished, the controls and physics don't feel right at all, characters getting pushed left and right at every small movement, moving platforms that give you momentum half the time and glitch you off screen the other half.
I feel like this game had huge potential that was kinda stopped by the shortcomings of the movements and collisions.
Nontheless the idea was pretty well implemented and the game was fun and challenging enough to keep me invested for a while before giving up. (Yeah, I gave up on the level where you introduced the blue buttons >.<)

Yeah that's a byproduct of me trying to make my own physics engine to run the game on. plus this was a first time making the characters intractable physics props, So I kinda expected some of the issues.
-
Thank you for the Kind words. I'll try to improve so next time my short comings won't harm the project as much.
-
also that was the last level. made last minute so I couldn't test it as much. but never the less I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as you did.

Nice little game! Some of the later puzzles were tough when switches were affecting platforms off screen, but that was about my only beef with it. I really enjoyed my time with and the dialogue between the two was very engaging and well written. Well done! :)

I enjoyed my playthrough of this game while rought around the edges is a cool concept that allowed for some good puzzle design and i hope the good experience translates to a good spot on the top
