A short 2d beat 'em up about a cult. Made by Radicalest and Spindlor.

Great premise, great art, fun game. However, did manage to beat it on the second attempt just by spamming the punch button, though on the other hand I suck at fighting games so I'm okay with that. Good job! And nice aesthetics!

Sweet game, short but really polished, just how I like them, with good pixel art and sounds.
The story was also pretty funny, and the final boss was cool too.
Only problem is probably the overly simple combat and lack of a real challenge, but the game still managed to be a ton of fun even without complicating things, so whatever.

It's a decent game, but it feels like there should be a bit more to the combat. Maybe some way to chain attacks or weapons to use? Regardless, the graphics look pretty nice and I like the "sacrifice" sound. The rest of the audio is good too.

Thanks! Also weapons or chaining attacks are good suggestions.

This was an amazing game, reminded so much of the good old arcade beat-em-ups. The pun on the title is top notch and the cultists (mainly their leader) made me interested in learning more about the lore of this game. What's going on?

Thanks! As for the lore, the cult worships the animals of the forest which is why they wear animal heads and they also worship the Forest God who is not shown in-game though. Their leader, the guy who falls from the ceiling in purple, is the Grand Father of the Children of the Forest the highest ranked member of the cult. He was appointed by the Forest God himself to lead the cult to sacrifice people in order to restore the natural state of the world back into forests. The Forest God may just be a ruse invented by Grand Father of the Children of the Forest and he may just want to kill people though. The people in black robes are Grand Father's initiates. The people in the red robes are standard members of the cult. That's about everything I can think of lore wise unless there's anything else you want to know which then you could just message me on twitter @Radicalest.

A fun game. Too short, unfortunately, and theme incorporation was weak.
There was a bug, where you could stand off to the right of the screen, and the enemies couldn't touch you at all. Easily abused.

Fun game! I included it in my GM48: Sacrifice compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/GLJFbs0fnfE

Thanks! The boss being strong was our intent but time was running out, so we didn't have much time to make sure the boss wasn't too strong. I hope you enjoyed the game anyway.

Reminded me a little of the classic International Karate on C64.
