Thank you for playing my second game jam game! Because my last GM48 entry was basically a walking simulator, my goal this time was to include actual gameplay!
Summary
It's your first day on the job at a fast food restaurant. Customers get two free sides with every combo meal, so get to work!
Gameplay
Simply head to the register to get your first order! Orders will appear at the bottom of the screen. You must retrieve the items one at a time, and drop them off at the "Pick up" tray. Try to fulfill as many orders as you can in the allotted time! Be careful, though! Wrong orders will result in a write-up. Three write-ups and you're fired!
Controls
WASD or the Arrow Keys to move and fulfill orders!

Fun interpretation of the theme! Pretty simple game fun still enjoyable, the really shot timer was enough to make me try multiple times. Managed to barely get 11!

Has that ye'olde mini-game feel to it, but I didn't really see a win condition or anything? Just a "You placed X meals" screen. Kind of makes you feel let down that there's not at least a leaderboard.

Nice game with great artwork. Everything was well put together and polished. Epic boss battles would be a cool addition

This is the most surprising use of the theme I've seen so far -- food never crossed my mind when thinking about 'sides' -- I like it! XD
It was a short experience, but it was put together well! I appreciated the sound cues on each interaction.
I might've liked it if each order was timed, instead of the whole game. It kind of puts a hard limit on what you can score. I'm guessing the max is around 12-13? Or perhaps just let you work until you get too many reports written up!
Also, it felt like diagonals were slower than running in the cardinal directions, which, paradoxically, was both slightly annoying but also interesting because I had to think about my movement a bit more. Not sure if that was intentional or not :)
Nice game!
PS. I uploaded a video of my playthrough

Cute idea, only wished you got a bit more time for each meal completed.

It's a fun little game. I think it could maybe use something like some intermediate steps, or maybe different obstacles. Something to make different orders require different actions.
