Your goal is to watch the plants grow. However, people keep getting in front of them, so you better get rid of those chatterboxes! Some aren't so bad however: if you chat to the right person instead of hitting them, maybe you'll even get some reward! You can also buy seeds from the people holding price cards!
left click - Hit / Plant a seed / Take a fully grown flower*
*unfortunately, picking a flower destroys your hand. Grown flowers are very toxic. :(
right click - Chat / Buy a seed
Each character in the game except the hooded guy were voiced by someone different! Here are the people people who participated:
Narrk (irl friend)
Keria (irl friend)
There were actually several others I didn't have the time to add! If I keep working on the game, it'll be interesting to involve more people :)
Aside these voices, all the assets in the game were made by me!
Sadly, I was very short on time for this one. I missed around 14 hours and on top of that I wasn't motivated enough, so I was easily distracted and didn't fully focus on the game. A shame considering the scope was incredibly good this time!
What I planned to add that would have been cool:
-
Each seed seller would give you a different seed (so the jelly character, Keria, would give you a "jelly seed" for example) and each seed would give a different flower!
-
Each flower would spawn different types of people. Since I didn't have the time to do that, the base flower spawns any of the NPC available.
-
Each flower would be unique and grow into something different. The jelly seed I mentioned earlier would, for instance, grow a jelly plant! On top of that, you'd be able to collect them.
If you would like to see a post-jam version, tell me!
Hitboxes are a mess! Characters would overlap/hide flowers even though they're not technically hidden.
The greetings from the hooded guy come from the wrong character, so they see they're a coin dealer while they sell seeds...
The cursor getting destroyed when picking a flower is a stupid mistake

I liked the art, though voices were bit unclear somethimes. It was easy to accidently hush NPC's away immediately when clicking my plant. I played until I accidently tried to pick my flower ^^" my hand got amputated :'( It was nice little game.

I love the cutesy look you've got going on with this, the issue I found was that it was hard to differentiate between who I should be hitting and who I should be talking to so I found myself losing coins until I figured it out, I know you had some issues getting motivated which held you back but what you did make in the end turned out really cute and I think with the bugs squashed, it would be brilliant! Good job still :)

Really charming. My only issue is with the npc spawn rate, I felt like they popped up way to often.

Yeah, the NPCs spawn a bit too quick! :D The game is rather short, so I wanted to give it just the right amount of challenge to see the flower really slowly grow!
I wanted to create some sort of urgency when they arrive so that the player would quickly get rid of them, making them more susceptible to accidentally hurt coin donors / seed dealers if they go too fast
But the issue comes when several NPCs arrive together cause they tend to block several flowers at once :( And on top of that, one could get in the way of another (that said it's still doable!)
Thank you for playing! :D

The concept is really good and fits perfectly with the theme, it's fun to play. The bug destroying the hand left me wanting more hahaha
Why the pink blow $200 seeds cost more but gives u the same seed as others sellers?

Because I was short on time! :D All different NPCs have some sort of tier going on; so as the game progresses, you'd be able to get a different seed! (the initial idea was to have different type of plants/seeds)
When I made the balance (at the last minute), I kind of forgot they had a different price ... so I should have made that seller give you 2 seeds to compensate

Not sure what exactly you are referring too when you say "kwis characters", so just to clarify, all these characters aside the hooded are characters made by other people (but I redrew them for the game)
Glad you found the game charming~
