You and your companion can only move when in sync with the rhythm but don't worry, the polygons only move then too! The game is couch (more like keyboard friendly) co-op!

Controls: W, A, S, D for left player and either I, J, K, L or arrow keys for the right player. Watch out though, because your inputs need to be timed to the beat!

Just a heads up that the game crashes at the end of the last level... and you can't die. Woops. But do play until the end, the music is great and let me know what you think!

Neat, needs a difficulty curve and some variety. But visually vary appealing and the music is great. Edit: maybe a combo tracker. Keep track of chains of perfect moves. It would really up the tension while dodging and emphasize moving more and keeping the groove.

    I like the idea

    • The game lacks variation. We just dodge triangles. It would have been nice to have different kind of things to avoid. For example, a red circle that goes from left to right or something. As new soundtracks kicked in, the game felt exactly the same regardless.
    • It would have been nice to move at any moment. This way, while waiting for a wave, we can train/test the movement.
    • Like SMF said, it would have been nice to have some feedback while missing a beat. When you try to move and that nothing happens, it feels unresponsive because we don't feel like we've made a mistake.

EDIT: We can't move between songs. I would have liked to have the freedom to move my character in these moments, but it seems like I was unable to

Hey Kwisarts, thanks for the feedback. Much of what you have said are all things we wanted to add but couldn't due to time! I also agree with all of it, except maybe the movement at any time. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind elaborating on that at all, either here or in a DM or something. I knew going in there were definite problems as the game just couldn't get finished in time.

Since completing the jam we have continued to work on the game and have added new enemies and more feedback to let the player know when they have messed up, along with a proper fail state and more. But I definitely want to know how to make it better!

Nice job! I really liked this! I loved the clean simple art style. The rhythm part was pretty simple but once I realized I had to keep the green blocks from being hit, then it got fun!

The music was very good too! Some kind of feedback on trying to move the block when your off beat would've been nice. At first I thought I was just pushing the wrong buttons but then realized I had to be on beat to move the block. But overall, very awesome job!

Hey SpaceMyFriend, thanks for the feedback! I am glad you like the simple art style, neither my friend or I are very good at art so we thought shapes and nice colours would be a good way to go. We definitely need to explain the controls and how to play in the game somehow, currently (and we have continued development since the jam completion) we still don't have a proper tutorial stage.
