The pacing was bad at the start, where as soon as I killed my first victim, I was ambushed by what seemed like a 10 enemies at once. Don't just throw the player in deep end!
The game was more fun when I tried to run-and-gun while evading than it was to try and pick off enemies. Maybe that's where you can move the concept towards.
Veralos Level 26
The music is super good. The individual art assets are also very good, though they look a bit awkward with how they're implemented in the game.
The gameplay is bit of a let down. It's mostly functional but the design seems a bit dodgy. As soon as the game starts you have to deal with a ton of insta-kill bullets flying everywhere. This feels especially unfair since the enemies can fire in any direction while you're more restricted. I feel like the game could be improved a lot by adding some health and/or checkpoints and by being more careful with enemy placement (especially at the start of the game).

Not much I can add more than others didn't say but one thing to keep in mind for future projects:
We don't have all the same keyboard configuration; the game was extremely awkward for me to play because of the placement of the keys because my "y" is where your "z" is (and the other way around)
Problematicar Level 31
I don't want to seem rude about it, but simply put this game is the result of a really good artist and musician pairing up with a novice programmer, I mean the code is not even that bad probably, you can see the usual mistakes people make when making new games, but the art and music are so good they don't seem to be part of the same project.

You got some sweet graphics and really nice music! It was really tough. It took a couple tries to get past the crate that's kinda up in air blocking your path. I kept getting stuck in the wall on that part. But the controls were pretty responsive, although I'm not a fan of ZXC keys because i can never keep them straight but that might just be me. But overall really nice job!

Even though the mechanics of the controls were fine, to me they weren't very intuitive (except for the movement arrows, those were fine). I had a bit of trouble keeping jump and shoot straight. Also, while saying it needed more play testing makes me feel kind of hypocritical (my game could have used more of that), it's still true. This game got too hard right after you get past the first enemy. Visually the game looked really good though.
