Controls: Left And right arrow keys to move Space to jump Ctrl to crouch R to restart

Eternal Damnation is a game about angering Saturn, god of time, and venturing on a pilgrimage to his temple, with borrowed time. You will need to complete "Challenging platforming" <- not very challenging and reap souls to get more time to survive. Don't worry game is very ez and you can't lose if you try

Btw, sorry for the rushed death stream, this theme really applies to how I've had to balance time throughout the jam with gm time and real life time colliding every painful second.

Please tell me of any bugs and improvements still as i am planning to continue development after the jam

Special thanks to !Surg and GreyM for keeping me alive with their streams throughout.

Hopefully i can get higher than 50th place for once!

This seems quite ambitious and cool in concept. Unfortunately the dodgy collisions (you get temporarily stuck on walls fairly often) make it difficult to get through. Even without the collision problem I feel the time limit could be a lot more forgiving and the limited lives could be taken out entirely (wasting time is enough of a punishment).

That aside, I really like the music - it's probably my favorite part of the game. It's nice on its own and sets the tone of the game well. I also enjoyed having a fully voiced intro to tell the story, even if it was a bit annoying to skip when restarting.

Interesting game! I included it in my GM48: Countdown compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/2kFo5aya1ME

    • Controls feel awkward (imo) you've got two fingers spread out for control+ space (or arrows + control) which makes it awkward to move while crouching
    • I guess you're aware but there are collision issues, sometimes you get locked or even disappear and the game overall lacks polish.

It's nice to be able to crouch, not all games have that! BUt it also makes collisions a bit harder to deal with. I liked the cutscene! It at least introduces you well in the game.

Give yourself some more credit. Finishing a game for a game jam at all is more than lots of people do. I liked the music in this game, for one thing. Maybe i'm just incredibly bad at video games but i couldn't make it all the way to level 4. I did however run out of time on my second try and disappear out of reality, softlocking the game.

i liked his little crouching animation hehheheh

Thanks for the review and the nice comments, I find it funny how you managed to softlock the game as I have been unable to do it throughout! I'm happy you enjoyed the music as that did take up a great deal of my time ( I'm bad at music :P ).

And yes, I also love that crouching animation.
