how to see how much time is left? the top of the screen and the alpha of the player how to get more time? eat the souls of the ghosts
the game runs really fast what is wrong? its a problem with the newest version of windows, it only happens if your monitor has a refresh rate higher then 60. my first game jam. Controls wasd use: E pay respects: F shoot: mouse button left

Hi, it was nice shooter, but it felt unfairly hard sometimes, tried to play couple of times. Some of the ghosts were just too fast, and room should have more obstacles and larger room, so you can try outrun them while reloading. As ghosts move towards you without much variety but speed, you are gonna get surrounded without obstacles. But keep up on learning :)

Neat little shooter. The difficulty seems to ramp up really quickly. The black ghost seems random, and very difficult to defeat. Seems like it would be less frustrating if your total money was shown on GUI rather than over the loot box.

Ok - So i totally get the point you were trying to cover here.
I can see where you applied the theme.
I would say that i actually had a little bit of fun playing - but only after I died a number of times trying to figure out what's up then I wanted to see how far I could get - but...
...I was never actually able to open any of the chests but once, and it wouldnt let me grab the gun.. I also made my way to well over 5000, but was never able to figure out how to get the middle chest open.
I think you have some good potential here - I'm certain if you had more time you would have polished the gameplay a little more -
That being said - try to focus on finding a way to relay to the player information of what's happening - Did it get hit? Why did I keep dying though I know I wasn't being hit? How long do i have to live? How do you pick up the weapons?
Stuff like that! keep up the good work!

There's a lot that needs to be worked on with this game.
You seem to be using some strange combination of image_xscale and image_yscale for rotating your gun... You'd be much better off using image_angle = point_direction(x, y, mouse_x, mouse_y).
The GUI is virtually nonexistent and for a game like this it needs to be there. Having the ammo next to your gun makes it impossible to see. Having the cash amount next to the chest makes it so I don't have any idea how much money I have while I'm away from it. The health number in the GUI has no indicator that it is counting your health, so it took me a couple deaths to realize what it even meant.
There are no hit noises for the player, and that too made it take time to realize that I was even being hit. Some combination of knockback, a hit noise and invulnerability time would alleviate this issue.
Your connection to the theme is there, however it's weak. Having the health count down didn't really enrich the experience for me; it just made it harder and more annoying.
The enemies spawn way too fast. I didn't even have a bearing of what was going on or how to play and before I knew it I had 3 ghosts on top of me.
Like I said, this game requires a lot of work. Don't take any of this too hard; you should be proud of what you've accomplished, and if you can build on it, you'll have a solid game.
