It's Pikachu and Luna's first adventure and they're very excited!!
These kitties love treats - so much that they can't live without them! But fighting enemies takes a lot of energy... Perhaps a sacrifice must be made?
- WASD - move
- Space - attack
(v1.02 updated for various fixes and better explanations.) (v1.01 updated to add a small exclamation point to warn you of help text.)
(Pikachu and Luna made all of the UI and they're very very proud!)
This game is soo adorable!!!
The gameplay is cute, I didn't think the tutorials are intrusive at all (on the contrary, I really liked the explanations in game). The theme was well placed and the mechanic of the game is very cool. I also became relieved when the narrator said that Pikachu would come back on the next stage, after I had sacrificed it.
So, this game is super cool, with the right aesthetics, this would become fantastic. Great job!Submitted
Cute little game! I included it in my GM48: Sacrifice compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/syYlrVk54P8
To keep feedback varied, I'd say tutorial messages are too intrusives, they stop everything and you have to press enter to skip them, which is not intinctive since all the other controls can be done with the left hand.
Otherwise very cute game, but a little too simple.Submitted
I intentionally chose a different key from any other control to skip text so you wouldn't accidentally be skipping helpful messages. I could have chosen something that could be reached with the left hand, like Shift or Control, but those wouldn't have been as intuitive as Enter.
Thank you for your feedback.
Everything about this game is too adorable. The cats, the music, the sound effects, the little faces on the spikes, the fact that your enemies are yarn balls... even the normally abhorrent Comic Sans helps to create a cute and charming tone.
The tutorial bits are kind off intrusive, the sacrifice element feels weak and fighting enemies is a little awkward. But other than that it's basically the perfect game!Submitted
It has cute kitties, so it can't be bad! But then again it has comic sans, so it can't be good? Too damn paradoxical, man.
Cute art, good sound, theme made sense. Attacking felt kinda fiddly so I just tried to avoid enemies - until I noticed you could damage boost off of them to go faster heheSubmitted
Fun little game! A bit short for its simplicity.
I like how you control 2 cats but not fond of how it feels like the one following you is floating. The sacrifice mechanic isn't bad (though cute) but it feels a tiny bit forced.
Also, I don't know if I should praise you or scold your for using comic sans...Submitted
Cute artwork! Along with the music, sound effects, and multiple levels it feels like a complete game :)
Neat that there were two mechanics tied to the theme. Very clever to use HP as ammo basically.
Observations: Controls were pretty tight but the jumping and falling felt a little floaty for my taste. The attack was a little cumbersome and the enemy flash state/hit timeout was just a bit short in my opinion. Didn't leave much time to get away after attacking.Submitted
This game is too happy for the theme, there's no death or damage or anything like that, just happy little treats and balls of yarn.
I mean, the game itself felt fun, but it's also really basic and doesn't bring much to the standard platformer idea.
I liked the connection to the theme, because it was used in a totally unexpected way tho.Submitted
Very solid, good looking game except for a few minor flaws like floating cats, blind jump, and not explaining that pikachu has to die to control lunaSubmitted
