You find yourself in a animal cloning facility. Mutant Zombies are approaching, What will you do to survive?
**We showed the game to family after submitting, and it seemed the idea wasn't immediately apparent. Leave the machine alone for a few moments to figure out how it works.

Hahaha, I liked the end.
Is there a red potion? I only got the blue and green ones.
The game's concept is cool, I just didn't quite know the final goal and finished it by luck I guess.SubmittedKamikaze

I did a really poor job conveying things before the Jam ended, like the goal for instance. Sadly no red potion, which is interesting because several people have intuitively thought there would be a red one specifically. It's actually purple giraffe cat that was next to go in.

Pretty cool idea, both the cloning one and the kitty sacrifice one, as other people already told you, combining potions would've been pretty cool, but this is a jam game after all and you probably didn't have too much time.
The art and sounds are nice, and I guess the game is kinda balanced, except maybe for the speed of the player (Or the size of the world if you wanna think about it that way).
Overall I had a ton of fun, my only complaint is that I had no idea if it was a survival game or if I had to go as far as possible, I still managed to win, but just because I read the other peoples feedback.

I managed to reach the end but I'm still not quite sure what I was doing. I get that you can use the clones to ward off the zombies, and that you can get potions(?) to make different clones, but the zombies don't seem to hurt you either way. Regardless, the presentation is pretty good with some nice atmosphere.

Poor kitties. I kept thinking of Schrödinger's cat with the duplication machine. I was hoping I could get cool hybrids by putting the turtle cat in the duplicator and then adding a blue potion. Right as I started to think that there was no end to this game, I reached the end sign. Nice unique twist with you being a zombie all along. I think this game could be expanded with more kitty hybrids.

Well as per usual Kristi's art output was faster than my programming/animation. Unfortunately, giraffe cat will never see the light of day now. I wanted the cats to have more combinations, but time is a brutal opponent.

I like how the cloning mechanic comes in! Though i'm not a fan of how slow you move and how many back and forths you need to do to get the cats and stuff. I would have liked to see potion combinations with the cats (for example, holding a green and blue potion would make a new potion, or perhaps the green potion could change the blue cats appearance instead of making turtle cats) Managed to get the ending!

Combining the potions would have been pretty sweet if we could have gotten the original six potions and cats in. I'm happy you made it to the end, thanks for playing!

Very interesting idea! I liked making more cats, not so much watching them get eaten. I included it in my GM48: Sacrifice compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/PCTrkXRBDB4

"oh..... we're feeding the zombies cats...." I loved getting your genuine thoughts while playing. To be fair my wife was pushing for the sacrifice to be babies. I told her it probably wouldn't be a good idea :D

Funny game, but once I had an army of blue cats, there weren't any sacrifice needed

Fun idea and cute graphics! It ran smoothly and I liked the contrast between the mood of the music and graphics. Looking forward, it'd be cool to have the special cats differ so that they have unique advantages and disadvantages, as well as having the zombies come in increasingly difficult waves.

Well the blue "bird" cat actually had charging animations ready, but I was really struggling to get everything in at the end. Sadly the result was just differing hp/attack values.

It took me a moment to understand what was going on but once I did it made perfect sense. Made me laugh.
Constructive criticism -increase the speed a little for the character -A little me progression would make the game far more addictive. eg game speed increases with time, skeletons are more frequent over time etc.
