You've been sent to purgatory (the very SMALL In-Between world) and now you have to collect the rest of your soul pieces.

HOW TO Every time a soul eater or soul grabber gets near you, they will either grab more pieces of your soul or drain you completely. Avoid the soul eaters and soul grabbers until they expire for them to drop pieces of your soul.

I was a simple experience and a good start to what I hope will be a more developed project. I would have liked to have seen a more endless kind of loop with an increasing difficulty curve, if only to give people a high-score to strive for so that they will play longer. But for now, this is a good start and I look forward to seeing what this becomes in the future! :)

Pretty simple, but an enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Enjoyed the opening cutscene (I'm not sure why I never considered a cutscene could be hand drawn then imported into a game, might be using this Idea in the future if that's ok :P), atmosphere and art all fit together well. My main feedback is that it was quite short, even for a game jam game. More enemy types and options for the player would have added a lot to the game.

    Overall well done though! :D

Cool game. The atmosphere is very strong with the spooky music and all the creepy monster trying to chase you down. The gameplay itself was a bit simple but enjoyable nonetheless. I like the pixel graphics for the characters, though I don't like how they contrast with the more detailed title/end fonts. I did like the paper-drawn cutscene at the start however.

The music was very atmospheric! I really liked the sprite artwork and animation. The cutscene was interestingly done. I agree with some of the other feedback that the strategy of basically hugging the edges made it easy to kite the green enemy away from the red hands.

This was nice! 😄 I did find a pretty infallible strategy though - "lassoing" the enemies by running rings around them meant that I could get them all to overlap, then easily guide them away to run and pick up the souls as they appeared.

There're a lot of places to go with this idea, so wonderful work overall.

What a fun little game! Only issue I had was that sometimes the enemies would spawn inside the player thus dodging them would be impossible, but other than that good work!

It was pretty simple game, it was nice to have beginning intro as otherwise it would have been empty, as in why player is doing what he is doing. But congratulations for first GM48 entry :)

It was fun but it ended so soon! I'll play the update when you come out with it, it reminds me of Robotron or something like that. More levels please!

Thank you for playing it, it was fun to make but the lack of levels, enemies, power ups and even the ending was due to the short period of time I had to make it to the GM48 Jam.

But yes I'd add more to it.
