Our very first Game Jam! Avoid the barrage of meteors and missiles, pick up health packs, and make your way to the portal to the next planet.

There are also some debug things we forgot to remove...like left-clicking the planet. It is recommended to only use the controls below. Thanks!

A,D - move

W - jump

R - restart

Tip:

Meteors won't explode in contact with the Player, but missiles do, but then you really have a very small hitbox anyway, only explosions will hurt you

Red Meteors split into smaller meteors upon impact

    Very innovative nad fun gameplay!

My main feedback would be polishing the characters movement/collision a bit more, but I'm not able to really put into words what didn't feel right...

However, the game was very well made and all the parts fit together nicely, so great job! :D

As there are many planet games now, I was thinking, where is game about destroying planet, and here it is :) It was well made short game, the collisions in some cases were bit wonky, but mostly worked. Only problems where when you went under something and there were no platform to sideways, you could not go anywhere then ^^"

My highscore was 31 700 https://i.imgur.com/3W6eQHa.png edit. managed to get 41 800 after this

Really cool game. I love the idea behind trying to survive until the planet is destroyed enough to reach the middle. It's a very clever use of the theme. I enjoyed how chaotic everything feels with all the meteors and rockets exploding around you. The terrain destruction was implented well too and the movement is thankfully forgiving when it comes to navigating awkward bumps. The graphics are great, as are the music and sound effects. Good job!

Neat game! Only issue I really had was with collisions, sometimes I'd get stuck on corners a bit, and that I prefer arrow keys over WASD for platformers, but that's just personal preference

Excellent game! Everything is well made and polished. Gameplay was hugely enjoyable. I absolutely love the music and the graphics are nice. The variation of different planets and projectiles keeps it interesting. Health packs also give a chance to recover and provide a mini-goal on the way to the portal. Very cool destructible terrain tech, I'm curious as to how it was made.

One of my favourite games in this jam! I had a blast playing it, my highscore is 87,100.

Cool idea to have the planet destroyed as the game progresses! One issue I had is that I sometimes got stuck on the sharp edges of craters.

How many meteors does it take to get the portal center of a planet pop? :P

Really interesting combination of rotating movement around the planet and destructible terrain. The movement controls feel a little odd at times, especially when trying to climb up steep slopes, but it doesn't ruin the experience.

Very nice, especially for a first game jam! A consistent artstyle and fitting audio. I got pretty far in level 3 before I took a rocket to the face. I like the cluster bomb meteorites! I enjoyed it!

That was cool. I think if this was put on arcade machines in the 80's, it would have been a massive hit. The design and programming are definitely this game's strong suit, but the art doesn't lack too far behind. Design wise, I really liked the health packs, and how you had to destroy the place you were playing on, to get to the next level. I got a highscore of 13280 on my first try, so maybe that says something about the difficulty of the game, but since it is very arcade inspired, I don't think that's a problem. I don't know if the game progressively gets harder, but it does seem that way, by the fact that there were two health packs in the last one I played. There were some small collision issues I'm sure you're aware of, but it didn't take too much away from the experience. It is also a bit disorienting with the spinning stars, but on the other hand it's a nice touch to a nice game.

We figured that the difficulty will naturally rise each level, since there will be less ground to stand on and more obstacles/holes to jump over, so we only increased the difficulty subtly.

Sadly, we didn't have enough time to polish up the movement and collisions.

      Thank you so much!
