You have the odd urge to go up to the top of a tower. You decide against your gut that the idea is bad, and so you now must battle your way through security forces in the tower.
I felt some things needed work, specifically the sound effects, the enemies were a little boring to fight, and the UI elements seemed rushed. However I liked the pixel art, the dynamic music, and the premise was straightforward enough. I see potential!
Hey, great game! I nearly gave you a 10 for graphics because I thought that you nailed just about everything in that department, but I just felt like some of the GUI elements weren't very cohesive with the rest of your graphic style. The text, health bar, and altitude bar didn't feel like they fit in very well with the game elements, but I loved everything else about the graphics.
Your connection to the theme was pretty solid, so I can't poke any holes in that. Like others have said before me, I kinda wish the different weapons were a little more balanced, and I wish there was some sort of death message that either just said "you died" or explained to me what exactly killed me. In general, I thought the game needed more graphical indications or explanations of some sort to the player of what exactly was going on sometimes, but I can see how you wouldn't have the time to work all that stuff out.
I did also like the music speeding up, too. Very nice touch!Submitted
The music was good, and the game was nice. I didn't like the exploding sound, or it's hit area when I destroy it. It was too large for it's visual. And first I was like "what hit me?" :,( I almost reached to the top, but the exploding one killed me eventually with it's too large hit box. It was good game overall :)Submitted
Really fun game, man! Good music, art, and everything. The music getting faster as you ascend made it quite exciting. I managed to get to the top once, but then I didn't know what to do so I just walked right, and the game reset? Is that right? Did I win? 🤔
I kind of wish the different powerups looked different before you pick them up, because they have huge differences in power level. The bazooka is basically a death sentence, and the 1-hit kill one basically means you can't lose.
The exploding dudes's AOE seems a little big
Hey thanks for playing! For the top part, you have to press E on the object up there, I forgot to add in the prompt for it so oops!
As for the powerups, Ill look into trying to make it clear whats in the boxes, and yeah I had a hard time trying to make the bazooka useful but I couldn't really make it useful, so I may end up replacing it in the future with something else.
Also note taken on the AOE, Ill reduce it in future versions!
