You've died and went to Heck. That's where Bob sends the naughty. But it's ok, it's all part of the Plan. The plan of Bob. Or yours. Now go and find him.
Steer with arrows (or WASD) Interact with F Collect sins (red, spinning, 9-spiked things) Bother other ...inhabitants. Find door at the bottom of each Circle. Find the management of this fine establishment and bother them without mercy.
...and may Bob have mercy on your soul.
The game would need a week of work more to add quests and bilateral dialogues. A week more for interstitial cutscenes, moving NPCs and animations. Another 3 days for inventory, pause, map overlays. I have overestimated my ability to distort time :D

The gameplay here is pretty boring and I couldn't get past the fifth circle because none of the sins would full up the bar.
I really enjoy the art style; it's super interesting and unique. The player character looks a bit out of place, though. The music is also very nice. Some of the dialogue is pretty funny (seeing the different things people say in different circles is my favourite part abut the game), and this all adds together to create a really distinct and cool feel.
Unfortunately, I have to agree, the game as it is isn't quite as captivating as I intended. I had to axe a lot of features under time constraint. It was a project for gm480, not gm48 :D
Current version already has dialogues and quests, but it'll be released separately, of course.
Fair point with the player sprite. I just realized it was bothering me all along.
Thanks for the feedback!

I enjoyed the experience, makes me relax and think in the unusual way, for a difference

We're all Bob on this blessed day.
This game was not the most fun in the whole jam, but it's definitely one of the most interesting, the artstyle and story are different in the best way the word different can be used, some top notch word choises and world building.
Everything here from visuals to audio to story reminds me of Hylics, and that's definitely a good thing.
I liked this game way more than I should have, because the gameplay wasn't fun or exciting at all, but everything else was just so intriguing, great job, I loved it.
