Summary

Turtle Massacre presents a fun and unique concept involving turtles as weapons, which many players enjoyed. However, the game suffers from issues such as awkward controls (notably the use of numpad 5), confusing throw mechanics, repetitive and poorly designed levels, and annoying sound effects. The art style received mixed reactions, with some appreciating its janky charm while others found it rushed or handwritten. Installation method and level design were also criticized, impacting the overall experience.

Post-mortem

The art is bad, some functions are unclear, people hated the key bindings, the sound effects stack and the volume multiplies, I spammed enemies instead of good level design, etc. Half was from running out of time, half was just not knowing how to fix it or that it should be fixed.
