Lovely game. It's a quite uniqe word game. It was easy to pick up, and the speed increased in the perfect rate to keep me in the flow. I played it twice and got the scores 19 and 25.

The art was gorgeous! There wasn't that much animation, but the one where the character ran into the tower looked really good.

The dialog was also very good. It had character and a bit of humour.

It's a little bit of a stretch to the theme. I mean, tower climbing isn't related to the story nor the gameplay. The game would probably be the same without it.

This game has great character to it. The art and audio fit together perfectly! The theme tie-in was very loose, but I personally don't care about that -- as long as a good idea comes out of the jam, it's all good.

The puns were a little sparse for how long the game lasts -- I almost closed it before getting to the end because I was starting to think it was going on forever since I had seen the same puns multiple times. Outside of that, however, this was really cool.

The art looked stunning, and the music sounded great too, sadly the idea was a bit weird, but not in an interesting way, I liked the pun-based gameplay, but it tended to get repetitive.

Nice atmosphere, not the most interesting or fun game but it nailed what it was going for. Nice to see something different for a change, and executed well enough!

Thank you, glad you found it different! I typically try to do something unique each gm48. I'm willing to accept it won't always be a successful experiment, but 48 hour jams can be a great chance to try something completely new out. And if it doesn't work out, 🤷‍♂️ it was only a weekend.

What a charming little game. Aside from the fact that the sentences started repeating somewhat quickly, I love basically everything about it. The fact that the guy recognises you if you boot the game up again is such a nice touch.

If I ever need a baseline for what a 10 in Immersion looks like, this might be it.

Thank you, I'm really glad you liked it! The vibe of the game was definitely the main focus this time around.

Yeah, one of the last things I did was fill in all the puns. I wish I had tried doing that earlier, I would have caught how repetitive they can be sometimes. It just pulls them at random from the entire list. I should have randomized the list and gone down it instead, but alas. At least there's a chance for puns you didn't see each time you boot it up, haha.

I also had the puns in a csv file, so I could have made it where the game grabbed a fresh updated list every time it launched from a server, but I didn't even consider that until there were about 15 minutes left in the jam. I don't even know if that would have been allowed lol

This was a nice game, and idea was fun. But like Husky, English is not my native language either, so some puns I got just by luck, and after that I understood it. Maybe too many ships eventually, they started to make reading harder, had to be quick ^^" It was nice entry :)

Haha yeah, I tried to get the difficulty balanced where just when it started to feel overwhelming, the game would be over. I bet that happens a lot earlier when English isn't your main language! Just shows how much 'murica-balancing this game has, haha. I'll definitely look out for that next time!

Hey, this is a very lovely game, although English is not my native language, I couldn't get all the puns, but I really like this idea :D

This game in one word? CUTE!

The dialog, the ships, the idea, everything really, it's just adorable. The art looks very nice and is perfectly fitting for the theme of the game.

Gameplay is a bit weak, though it gets quite challenging at the end! But the Idea behind it is great tho, and everything works very fine and seems polished!

I can't really say you implemented the theme very well, the only thing that has to da with climbing the tower is the person going up the lighthouse...

Anyways, charming entry! I'd love maybe a point-and-click adventure in this style!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, the theme was originally much more integrated but iterations on the idea and gameplay mechanics kinda pushed it further out lol
