This is one of my favorite jams so far, and even if the game wasn't at the point where I wanted it to be, and was a bit rough around the edges, it was still pretty fine in my opinion. Of course I would change a lot if I were to remake it, but I think the way it is now is just fine, and I enjoyed going through the process of making it a lot.
You've been slacking off on your job as a miner recently, and your boss is done with it. He's given you an ultimatum : either get $400 worth of materials in one days work, or you're fired.
WASD or Arrow Keys to move.
Move mouse to aim.
Left Mouse Button to throw Pickaxes.
Right Mouse Button to throw Bombs.
Middle Mouse Button to throw a Drill.
Ctrl to throw a Tactical Nuke.
Shift to jump super high while in the air.
Scroll Up and Down to enter and exit the shop.
While in the shop, use W and S or Up and Down Arrows to navigate, and Left Mouse Button or Z to buy.
My current highest score for the starting time of 1:50 is $644, what's the highest you can get?

Fun little game! I included it in my GM48: Collect! compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/7cH9DVFtgzM

Really fun game I played it for a while and came up with new stradegies and combos all the time. First, I mostly used the pickaxe as it's the simlest and most straight forward item in the game. But I quickly realised that the bomb was more time efficient than it. I had a hard time to find uses for the drill, but I foud out that I could use it to travel between caves, or combine it with the bomb to mine even more efficiently. When I finally found the tactical nuke, I realized that it was the objective of the game.
The one thing that I don't like about the game is the goblins. They kill you before you even realize it, and it feels entierly random. Random is not equal to bad, but when you only have one life, it isn't fun when the run just completely ends all of a sudden. Here are some ways I think would fix the problem:
- give the player multiple lives.
- make the Goblins move slower and more predictable.
- make the player able to kill them with bombs or pickaxes.

Cool idea for a game. A little rough around the edges with the controls/ui. Tactical nuke is a laugh though, can't really not have fun when you're blowing things up!

I like the idea of this game, but the fact that all the different items are thrown with different keys made it kinda fiddly and awkward to play, at least in the beginning. I would've much preferred being able to select an active item on a hotbar with, say, scrollwheel, and then just throw with mouse click, as is common in many games.
The saving grace here really is the tactical nuke. It is very satisfying to use! Just hope you don't land right next to a goblin, lol!
The sound effects are quite good, but to be honest they get a little tiring after a while.

I thought it was fun but 1-hit death is pretty harsh for those green goblin dudes. Throwing bombs was particularly satisfying when all the minerals drop.

A cool game to go for making some high scores. My biggest problem is that it's deafeningly loud and time a large number of blocks are broken. Other than that the UI needs some work as it was kind of hard to understand and the control scheme is rough.
Nice Work!

This game jumps straight in to the action, which is interesting but a title screen would have been a nice addition! I feel like there needs to be some safe starting spot so I wouldn't die in seconds and could get to grips with what I was doing. Still, the procedural generation is a nice touch and I think, given the limited time, you did a good job! :)
