gm(48) Mission Statement
Our mission is to support the GameMaker community through opportunity to learn, represent every type of GameMaker developer, empower unique creative games, and connect developers from separate communities together.
Support the GameMaker community through opportunity to learn
With 2543 participants to date, the gm(48) game jam has for over 8 years been instrumental in enabling developers to become better at game design, game development and GameMaker Studio 2.
5I usually join Ludum Dare and other local jams, but I believe that GM48 are the ones I enjoy most.
It's a way to see what someone can do in just 48 hours with Game Maker, and the source code is usually available to mess with and to learn about.
5Even if you haven't been here from the start, this jam is really open and welcoming, for both beginners and experienced developers. It's a fantastic event to just sit down, make a game and have fun!
5This project was a lot of fun. I streamed a good majority of my development and had a lot of fun doing so. The drive and push it gives you to make a full, complete project is very valuable.
5This gamejam was a first for me. This was a really good experience. The game we made is pretty hard and i would like to add an option to let the player training in a particular level if we had some more times.
Next time we going to do better. Prepare yourself 😎
5GM48 rocks! I have learned so much during the 3 times my team has participated. The themes put us out of our comfort zone, and we learned so much in such a short time. Can't wait to go again!
5Joining gm(48) has been a great experience.
I think Simon Milfred and I make a robust team and we have so much fun.
Will do it again!
5GM48 is my absolute favorite jam to participate in. Everyone is very friendly and it's a great way to meet other Gamemaker developers while getting great practical experience with the software. I highly recommend that you join the Discord server to really complete the experience!
5Drawing sprites is fun so it's a good experience. :)
5In my project Countdown is a project in which I have not put all my work, but in The Legend of Princess Kidnap yes. I hope you like it
5Excellent game jam for any skill level! This jam really brings out the best in people and allows everyone, including myself, to grow their game development skills! I cannot wait for the next one.
5I'm sweating. I learned a lot in such a short amount of time (especially about time management). The 29th GM48 was my first jam and I'm happy with what I produced.
We all start somewhere and I'm so grateful for this opportunity.
5Participating in the jam was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed seeing enthusiastic updates from great creators who were jamming at the same time I was.
