Super cute game! I included it in my GM48: Collect! compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/QbScIDsTCaU

It's a really cute game, but it's hard to pick up and the controls are all thrown into my face at once D:

This was quite relaxing even with a bird trying to eat me. Ran into a bug I think, I outgrew my sprint shells before I could finish the race with the one crab guy. The art was charming and the gameplay was quite unique, reminded me a bit of a cross between Don't Starve and Pokemon or something. Great entry!

Great little game!
Fits the theme, looks fantastic (minus some small quirks), sounds good, and plays well enough. Had a few issues with figuring out what to do here and there (for example, I didn't find any shells that allowed me to shoot during my first 15-min or so playthrough, so I got stuck at that challenge; and at first I thought "10 and 6" meant 10 shells and 6 pebbles, as opposed to 16 shells...), but in the end I figured it out 😅
Quite a buggy affair to be honest, but that didn't detract too much from my enjoyment. Well done!

Nice entry! I thought that the art and the sound fit the gameplay perfectly. Felt a little buggy at times (I got stuck in a wall, and a few items seemed to randomly disappear on me), but that's the nature of the 48 hour jam.
I think with a few bug fixes, you could have something pretty cool. Good work :)

Lovely game, could be basically perfect with a few fixes and tweaks. Like, I had to restart because I didn't know there was a push ability until the game spawned some of those shells when I was in the last stage of growth. My second playthrough was full of those spiky shells :'D Anyway, I don't regret replaying it to the end, very good.

Now this is really fantastic. The art and the sounds and the setting are all bursting with flavor and creativity. You've really done well in creating an immersive environment, and the different tasks to get each item are all unique.
Plenty of polish, the sound design is top notch, and I love the way the ocean moves and pulls you in.
There are some issues with progression and soft locking, if you get eaten by the seagull during a dialogue sequence that's supposed to give you one of the six items, then it becomes impossible to get that item from then on.

There are some instances of soft lock in the game due to the random nature of the dropping of shells and size of your main creature. The art looks nice but ( because of resolution I guess?) some characters look weird (Sea and Sir mostly) also some of the walls around the beach look like they were quickly put together as like a fast scribble making it look odd. The lack of some invisible walls allow you to phase through some the walls which leads you to getting stuck (in the very begining of the level you run down instead of up and phase through a wall). I don't know if it was my computer or something but I tried doing the race multiple times with the sprint and I couldn't do it, the only way I could do it was by triggering the race by touching the side of the starting line which gave me more distance. Other than that it was fun to move around the beach collecting stuff for the different dudes around there and the seagull was a nice addition to create some tension.

Thank you for the feedback. The ability to go out of bound was a pretty big oversight on my part unfortunately. Not being able to do the race does seem strange, in playtesting it was quite doable, it could definitely be the effect of low framerate though (will have to look into this).
All very valid feedback, thank you very much :)

Nice cutesy gaem, very warm sands, nice to listen and relax. Smol crab came and gave me ten and six sand dollar much profit. Easy to move around even with my beeg shell. Maybe I should race Thes too. I watched smol crab do quest. It was very clear to me even though I am Grok. Everyone should come and visit Grok.
Love, Grok.

Not enough time to react to the bird I think (though maybe I could get used to it). Nice sound effect. Pushing could be done by holding the button maybe, but it's not bad this way too. And the water is a bit too powerful. I didn't beat it yet, but I enjoyed it.

Thank you for the constructive feedback, glad to hear you enjoyed what you managed to play :)
About why the seagull might not give enough time to react, it's a bit silly. We had a placeholder sound throughout most of the game, which was just me saying "I AM A SEAGULL, SQUAWK" and it never crossed either of our minds to change it until the very last minute, leaving no time to playtest the new sound and adust the timing. It does make for a funny story though :P
