(Do not use the top door on level 3 as it does not send you to the correct level. Horrible bug i know) Move: Arrow keys Abilities: Number keys

You play as a little stickman with nothing but a jetpack, invisibility,a fireball and a sword. You can only use these once per level. Use wisely.

This is my 3rd ever proper game so any feedback is greatly appreciated. The game started development a little late and so was a little rushed but hopefully fully working.

Like other have said, the 4th level isn't fair. On the first 3, you know you need to keep you abilities, but there's always a way to use different ones. In the 4th, you need to keep everything until the last part. But there's even some traps that encourages you to use things you shouldn't, and that's really cheap, and you feel cheated.

The idea is pretty neat and it's fun using all of the abilities. I wasn't so keen on the parts where you need to use specific moves to complete the level, though. The exception is the first level: I think it teaches the basic moves quite well.

The graphics are simple, but I actually like them a lot. I love the animation for throwing a fireball and the "buy it now" signs. The sound effects are okay but the jump sound gets a bit annoying.

The overall feeling of the game is kinda off. Like, it doesn't feel very smooth and the fireball is buggy (in the first level, it got cancelled at random 4 times in a row)

But I like how you can solve things a bit differently and it's nice to have 4 items to use

I didn't realize I could move on my first attempt... but after that I had a good time! Not gonna lie, wasn't able to finish it in the limited time I had, but I was actually pretty impressed with the level design, and how it required trial and error with the right amount of skill, and also seemed to offer multiple paths at the same time! Kudos

I liked the use of the theme, everything else was kinda underwhelming though, from the controls to the level design to the art and even the playability. In the last screen you explain the reason though, so considering that I'd say it's better than it could've been.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, i kinda spent most of my time making the main 4 powerups so i really wanted to make sure the player was careful when using them to try and make it so if you don't use it at 1st you are rewarded later on for holding it. However this was quite bad as when I did it, it caused the player to have to do too much guesswork. The controls i tried to make as good as I could but possibly the use of arrow keys was a poor choice. The graphics; eh, I did what i could lol. And the sound was again a last second thought that i added in the last 40 mins.

Nice game, cool concept and nice final level! It's great to see improved gravity as well! There are things that you can improve, such as: the UI, which actually visually blocked a physical tile so I kept dying music the jump sound effect tutorial boss or something for completing the final level properly

What are those blue things for?

Apart from quite monotonic sound & music section, quite plain and basic graphics and clumsy controls... this was quite okay as an idea! Especially last level was well done, because previous levels were possible to complete without using all the powers, but last level wanted you to have them all at the very end or else it would've been impossible to win! Good idea, somewhat bearable execution. Good job! :)

Bad level design and buggy jetpack

    Edit

The level design is bad because if you dont use the required skill at the required part you have to restart the level, which adds a try and error gameplay, the ui is really big, im pretty sure you could make the ui 75% smaller that what it is currently and there would be no one harmed by it, if you use the jetpack while moving against a wall once you get to the floor of that respective wall the jetpack doesn't work

The audio isn't especially nice, neither feedback it gives

The colors are way too bright

Also there is a ventilation sprite on the first level that looks like a platform

Maybe i sounded way too harsh, but i really would had paid for people to give me feedback about my games.

I understand this is your first game or one of your first, and im pretty sure you could improve a ton if you keep doing games

Hope i didn't make you be on a bad mood yesterday

care to elaborate? Would love to hear what it is I could improve

EDIT: Thanks for the response, going back and elaborating. I tried to make sure the player was careful when using them to try and make it so if you don't use it instantly you are rewarded . This was done poorly and so it resulted in the guesswork you spoke about. The graphics were done to the best of my horrible artistic talents and I didn't mean to make them too bright. I never encountered the jetpack bug and I'm having trouble replicating it but sorry that you encountered it. The sounds were done at like the last 30 mins but ill make sure to make them nicer in future. Sorry about the vent issue; I wanted to make it like half alpha but that didn't actually go though to the final game. Thanks for the feedback though, it really does help a bunch.
