Chernobird

This really shines in the creativity department, with cute artwork, and the various screens and environments and transitions and weapon effects. You did a really good job making the game feel lively and fun.

It just needs some expansion on the gameplay side, maybe you should be able to fight the mutated birds but also keep the ability to log the non-mutated birds after buying a weapon? Or perhaps some kind of herding mechanic, like leading the non-mutated birds away from the mutated ones so that they aren't hurt when you blast them with a space cannon?

Birds with arms are definitely funny. And so is the idea of blowing them up with a giant cannonball apparently from orbit.

Who needs Aim Lab when Chernobird is here?? I did take some issue with shooting some fellow birds, but they were more muscles than birds at that point.

Birds with arms, hmm. Ha. I appreciated the commentary in the letters, I feel the pain of frantically trying to get everything in a jam game working...

The different weapons were funny as well, although with the gameply being what it was it seems that the differences were purely visual? Something to make the gameplay a little more engaging (e.g. actual penalties for hitting innocent birds) might be good for keeping the game interesting as well.

The character art is especially great - lots of charm!

Games like this is what makes Gm48 great. I had way too much fun playing this game, the mutated owls were my favorite. Weapons were fantastic, I loved the art and animation. The letters were funny. Only thing I would change/add would be sound effects.

this was very interesting! haha I didn't mind playing it, but it wasn't exactly compelling. I really like some of the character art though!

10/10 should have been a flash game
