The queen demands a tribute! A giant golden statue of herself! Manage your beehive and gather the resources necessary to build a monument worthy of the queen. Watch the flowers grow, watch the colony grow, and watch your glorious golden statue grow!
The whole game can be played with just the left and right mouse buttons.
Click and drag with the left mouse button to select a group of bees. When bees are selected, right click to direct them to interact with the environment. Your bees can collect pollen, fetch apples and gems, or even fight wasps!
When a wasp appears, right click on it repeatedly to damage it and fight it off. You can also direct your bees to fight wasps. If bees fight a wasp, you can expect some casualties, but wasps killed by bees drop gems!
Left click on the beehive to open the shop, where you can buy more bees or upgrades to your environment and abilities.
- Gems and apples are heavy. One bee will take a long time to bring it home, but many bees working together can fetch them much faster!
- When flowers bloom, they have a low chance of spawning gems, so plant lots of flowers! Wasps defeated by bees can also drop gems. When a gem or an apple fall to the floor, they can be stolen by ants, so grab them quickly!
- You can select all of your bees to do one job at a time, but you'll get more bang for your buck by multi tasking! Divvy the jobs up among small groups of bees for maximum efficiency!
Thanks for reading! And remember, if you play this game, then you will have played this game.

Oh my god. Those sound effects! Love them ! I liked the art as well, only thing I felt missing was some chill music.
Relaxing and fun experience, great job.

I didn't read the hints so when the ant came and STOLE MY APPLE it took me by surprise. Luckily I used my lighting fast reactions to send my bees back down to retrieve the stolen goods.
And then a bit later, my first gem appeared near the edge of the screen. My bees were busy so I left it for a second thinking 'no ant can carry this' BUT I WAS WRONG and it was stolen from me. My bee army couldn't fly fast enough!
Fun little game! I lost a lot of my bees to the wasps but once I got a bit better at it my colony expanded and I took over the world pretty fast. And as I said before... I like the art! (And the sound - you said there wasn't any!)

I am apparently the best queen :)
Started off a bit slow before I realized you could RIGHT click the wasps to kill them. Once I had that down, I was unstoppable.

There's something cute and hypnotic about this game, the silly voiced sound effects and the cutesy hand-drawn style really make this game stand out, I like it! Good entry :)

Very fun game! Very cute, and funny as well. My main feedback would be regarding the animation on the menu, I had hard time figuring out how to open (because I kept clicking too fast thinking it wasn't opening)
Had lots of fun playing it, the game was pretty stable but I'm sure in QA you found lots of bugs. hehe
I recommend everybody play this game to know what all the buzz is about!

Overall, super well done, loved it!

Lovely game! It kept me entertained for quite a while. You literally watch the flowers grow, which makes this game a perfect use of the theme. Neat sound effects. Some ambience in the background could've been nice, I think.

Love the art and the sound effects! Would have liked a little music but really adored the wasp buzz buzz sounds. I think overall the aesthetic was very charming. I did play the game until I built the monument so I can say that I was quite immersed in it too.
I really love the feeling of controlling units and splitting them. I do enjoy RTS games so this was a fun RTS-lite! I did not have a balance issue with the wasps. I was being silly and did not realise I have to right click them rapidly. I think one suggestion is that I would have liked for there to be a reason on why I'd have to split up units. Or maybe a way to allocate control groups. I felt i was able to move a massive swarm of bees without having to allocate them to certain tasks or suffering any real inefficiencies. Though on the other hand, I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and that might have made the game too intense. I was playing this while pretty tired with my head on the desk. Yay for everything being able to be done with the mouse!
I loved this entry!

Glad you enjoyed it! And I appreciate the thought about providing a reason for splitting up groups. It's slightly more efficient to break tasks up among groups of bees, but that isn't really an impactful incentive, it doesn't really give you a positive feedback that says, "yes, I should be doing this." So you're right, implementing some more benefits that incentivize multitasking, and maybe some things that punish you for making all bees do the same task, would be a good idea.

This was extremely cute (well chosen graphics, cute vocal SFX). I completed the queen monument although I did feel that the way I finished the game was maybe counterintuitive - let one single worker do a lot of idle work since the wasps don't spawn if you only have one, and then when I got to a lot of pollen, spawn an army, farm apples and more pollen while right clicking to kill all the wasps, before finally farming the diamonds with bee armadas 😄
There are definitely ways this could go, like apple-farming and gem-farming bees, auto-attacking bees (or eg. hive turrets), but for a jam entry, this was well scoped and stayed its welcome well!
Also, bonus points for lots and lots of bees.

Haha, that's definitely a strategy I didn't want to encourage, which is why clusters of bees attacking wasps can create gems. I was also considering making it so that gems don't appear at all unless you have at least five bees, but this game's supposed to be pretty lax so I didn't want to impose any weird restrictions. I'm happy that you could play it in your own way!
And yeah, there's definitely more stuff I wanted to do, but I simply couldn't get around to it. I definitely didn't have enough time to think about adding more automatic bees without making commands obsolete. I'm sure there is a way, with more time on this I mighta found it. Thanks for the input.

Never knew I needed a bee RTS in my life. It's very simple but I love it as a jam game.
The only problem I had was that it's a bit unclear at first but I eventually managed.
