Very nice main character and concept! I included it in my GM48: Colors are Important compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/qBo44ANf_gg

    Thanks for submitting a game!

This was a tough one for me. I liked the mechanic of painting the environment in order to adjust your abilities. Felt the theme was well represented there.

I had some trouble differentiating the colors, but I dont ding you for that (I am partially color blind so this was a rough theme for me in general =D)

The art style was simple and fine for a jam I thought.

I think what would have made this a better experience for me is just introducing each color in its own level in a tutorial fashion to make it dead obvious what each one did.

    In general, nice job!

Thanks for participating! It's my favorite mechanic of Portal 2!

    Neat idea!

    • I like how it feels moving thanks to the portal juices (I mean, even the character is a funny robot, so I dare compare it to portal)
    • I'm not a fan of puzzle actions but managed to finish this one, which probably means the difficulty curve is done right!
    • All puzzles were intuitive, had maybe 2 different ways to solve them (I felt a few times like I managed to finish it in an unintended way)
    • the way you spray paint is so cool, it doesn't have an annoying sound at all and the way it gets spread really makes me believe we're spraying juice!

Can't really say anything bad regarding the game overal and its gameplay.

The sole lacking thing to me, however, is that we get a robot, but the rest lacks some kind of imagination in terms of visual design. It would have been cool to see him wander around levels that bring a bit more to his presence, as there is no particular reason why it's a robot. (though I guess he's more like a juice dispenser?) It's fine for the juice I guess, but the level tiles weren't really personal and I think the game would have earned a lot more charm with an appropriate background and tiles. As a result, I didn't feel as immersed as I could be to be perfectly honest. The gameplay kept me (despite not liking puzzle actions, as a reminder), but an appropriate look would perhaps have made me want more!

In short, it looks rather plain in my opinion. Imagine how cool it would have felt to splatter juice of an opaque sole color in a more complex looking area! It would have offered an interesting contrast.

EDIT: Don't focus too much on it though, as the gameplay is the most important :p just... not as simple

Interesting concept and plenty of levels. Pretty good for 48 hours :) Good Job

Really fun to play - there's something very satisfying about spraying the paint! The sound of the paint spraying sounded, to me, like a flame rather than liquid spraying. The music was just okay for me. As another feedback said, I noticed the 'F'bug. I like how the levels start easy and gradually progress to harder. Not too big of a jump between levels. Nice game!

Okay, so to begin, this is by far my favourite game entered into the GM48 It has an extremely charming atmosphere with genius level design and intuitive designs It encourages you to experiment and rewards you for skill While short, it comes with a level editor that allows you to make and play your own levels that you can send to your friends As a puzzle game fanatic, this game has mastered the art of puzzle I am hoping to see where it will go next

This is one of those games that gets mechanics just right. I really liked playing with all the colorus and seeing how i could use them in conjunction with eachother. The graphics are really nice, good sound effects, and the tech behind the level generation and painting is really impressive. A wonderful entry!

One bug I noticed (I know it's a jam game so it's to be expected) is that pressing F to change to/from fullscreen removes all painting from the map.

Great attention to detail on the UI, and I like the 'Hold R to restart' - very intuitive design.

Cool idea, and well executed. Some of the behavior of the gels was a little unpredictable, but for a 48 hour jam it handled remarkably well. The little player character was charmingly drawn and animated, and the gel splashing and sticking to surfaces looked great. Well done!

This is an incredibly fun. A simple idea, translated into a cute 2 dimensional package.

This is really well put together and presented. The art is great, as well as the mechanics, and you've made some really interesting puzzles. It's also great to see a level editor in a jam game. The only issue I have is with the platforming mechanics. It seems that you maintain your horizontal velocity when hitting a wall, which leads to some strange behavior. Otherwise, great job to everyone involved.

This is like TAG: The Power Of Paint, but in 2D - I love it.

I feel like there is a lack of visual and auditory feedback when it comes to the currently selected color, some other indication would be very nice!

Neat idea! I liked all the different mechanics, however felt like they worked a bit strangely, mainly the blue one. I understood that it made you bounce and jump higher, but how exactly it worked I couldnt tell. it seemed a bit random, sometimes it would bounce me higher, sometimes lower, sometimes not bounce, it was a bit strange, but outside of that the other colours worked nicely, and it was fun figuring out the levels. Good job!

In my opinion, there should be some response for when your color changes. Also, the water barely did anything useful except flush your paint out as a puzzle mechanic, in which case, you should've just had something to give you no color instead.

I love the Tag: Power of Paint style you went with this. If anyone wanted 2D Tag with puzzle, this would be it.
