The game looks really nice. I would suggest adding a title screen instead of throwing the player straight into the game. It took me a little while to figure out what was an enemy and what was a powerup. Seems like there is too much thrown at the player at once (time, fuel, hull). I never quite understood what actions affected what stats. I beat the boss guy, so I think I completed the game. Having a flashing effect when an enemy is hit would help to let the player know that the enemy is taking damage.

The screen is too busy, it doesn't help that you're showing the points and stuff. It feels nice, but it makes the action confusing and there are so many bullets on the screen than avoiding them is tricky with so much happening at once!
Aside that, it looks nice and the action is punchy and satisfying.

It looks and plays good, but I couldn't understand what was happening. It seems I didn't take damage until a stopped playing to lower the volume.
Speaking of volume, WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL??? You sound effects are like 800 times louder than the music. I was at 50% sound and they were BURSTING out of my speakers.
Anyway, gave it another try but I still couldn't understand why enemy shots were damaging my hull randomly.

This is quite cool and it's fun taking out enemies, especially with all the crazy powerups you can get. That said, there are some things that seem unfinished. I didn't seem to take any hull damage throughout the whole thing until I reached the boss. Also, nothing seemed to happen after beating the boss.
The visual style looks really nice and there are some cool effects, but overall it's way too busy to tell what's going on a lot of the time. The music and sound effects are all good though.

Your art looks fantastic! I did have trouble telling what was going on a lot of the time, but homing bullets and not taking damage(?) made the game beatable.
Maybe the fuel acting as a timer could have been more impactful if shooting drained it as well (so that you would have to focus on accuracy?)
Overall, though, I had a lot of fun with your game!

Graphics looks good, I think increasing the size of the player bullets and having screen shakes might be details that can help the game shine. Nice entry overall.

A decent R-Type clone. One change from R-Type that i'm glad that you made was that touching walls doesn't kill you. In the original R-Type wall collisions killed you, and i don't think it would have worked in a game with hitboxes this big. For some reason, until the boss i had never taken damage, despite pretty clearly getting hit with bullets. Maybe look into that? All in all, i had a decent time with it and the art looks pretty good.
