I've been using gamemaker since December of 2013. I've competed in the gm48 six times now and my best entries are probably Zombies in the Hood and Drill Baby Drill.

The Cavern
The Cavern was supposed to be about someone who got stuck in their own mind. I did this in about 20 hours but didn't finish.
Drill Baby Drill
The drill on your oil rig has broken so the boss sends you down with a hand drill to dig to the source of the oil. Try to survive your shift without drowning in oil, burning in lava, or getting eaten by giant worms. Mine ore and rob graves to make some cash on the side.
Lava Defense Force
The rival tribe has unleashed the great volcano on your village and burned it down. With your remaining villagers try to rebuild your village and hold off the lava.
Zombies in the Hood
Your neighborhood is being infested with zombies! Good thing you're heavily armed. Defend your hood and stay alive as long as you can.
