First gm(48)! Ended up pulling an all nighter to meet my standards but I'm okay with how it turned out!

Art, Music, Code, etc. all created by myself!

Wow for the content! I'm impressed! I had some collision issues, but nothing gamebreaking. Very fun game! Great job, congratulations!

So much content, so much GOOD content.

You managed to put a lot of stuff in this little gem, a stocked shop, a ton of levels, so many different blocks and enemies, great job on the amount of content.

The art wasn't incredible, but it was still pretty good, same for the sounds and music. Gameplay was really fun and balanced, usually in those kind of games you either don't need money at all and it's just for score or you need it a ton but there's not so much in the level, you managed to keep the amount balanced though, shop asked fair prices.

The level design was great, using all those blocks and enemies in different situations works really well to make the player learn the game, so the difficulty curve was balanced aswell.

Boss was also pretty cool, and the golden room was a nice final touch.

I don't have anything to complain about, the game was really polished and it also had a ton of content, good job!

I really enjoyed the style of this game. The puzzles with dropping the blocks on the switches were good, but sometimes I seemed to get stuck if I destroyed the block that is supposed to activate a switch. The shop was a nice touch, but it seemed like most of the items were overpriced so I didn't get to use my earned money very often. I would have liked to be able to hold down the action button to keep swinging the pick, instead of having to press it over and over again. The pick upgrade for the shop does help a lot though.

Really good game! There's a really nice amount of variety and content here for the limited time you had. Some of the level design is clever as well, mainly when it comes to reaching all the treasure. The upgrades are cool and give good incentive to go for some of the tricky to reach gems. The graphics are pretty charming, the sounds are all appropriate and the music is nice too.

I enjoyed mining for treasures and the shop is a good incentive to try and find as much currency as you can.

Art was not exceptional, but it did it's job. There were occasional collision problems on corners here and there, but nothing game breaking.

This is one of the longest games that I've played in this jam. It has quite a lot of content.

The game is very sweet! Much content to play with, nice descending! Love mine games. I like how you can upgrade and the hidden green pearls are nice. :) Nice music and sounds. The first ghost appearance made me chuckle. They're so cute with their "ooooh" although they get annoying when they chase you. Some things :

    • you can get stuck under blocks easily (tnt. thankfully you can blow these off... insta-killing you)
    • although we can dig upward by jumping, it still feels frustrating to rely on the jump to destroy blocks overhead.

Nitpicking: wish the graphics were a bit better or that it had a further gimmick. The blocks look pretty nice so in contrast i would have liked the rest to be somewhat similar in visual. It feels good to play this game! One of the best and most solid entries in my opinion. :)

Adorable consistent style, good gameplay and a shop for upgrades - who doesn't love upgrades? The little melody that plays when you start a level sounds like something straight out of the SNES.

Though it crashed on me once when hitting an ice block with a rocket drill (don't try this at home).

Still, my verdict is that I DIG IT. :)

This is really good! Sounds and graphics are nice and it uses the theme super well! Couldnt figure out how to make tnt work to my advantage though haha!

While the art itself is pretty basic, the animation and charm really give it a unique and cool look. Move speed, jump height etc felt perfect to me. Gameplay was a little grindy, but it's a mining game, what can I say. This game is one of my favorites from this jam.

I want that dang diamond on level 4! I've blown myself up three times trying to get it! Seriously though, absolutely excellent job! Found a couple small bugs: jumping of the slime can occasionally get you stuck in a wall, and there is a way to dig upwards with some quick jumping. But I am having to really think hard on how to make suggestions for improvement. Everything is well done and I had genuine fun playing it. Well done:) How did you get the player sprite to fall off screen upon death like that? That was something that my team spent a good deal of time on but we couldn't get it right>

When you die, the player actually changes into a different object that falls off the screen and plays out the entire game over animation! The view stays in place since the player object doesn't exist any more.

    • The text on the left side of the screen is a bit hard to read because the background and the text are both pretty dark
    • I think there should be a "how to buy stuff" text in the shops instead of being at the start
    • There is no metal-hit sound
    • Just like Joshua Walker, i think that there should be a way to dig upwards :)

good luck with your submission :)

Great job! That all-nighter was worth it, I'd say. The only thing I could possibly ask for is the ability to dig upwards while jumping.

The animations are ultra cute! The game's feeling is also very pleasant! I'm just a tad bit concerned about the tnt blowing me up, protecting the nice blue ore :( Maybe i should throw a zombie at those! (Still looking for a Guren Lagann reference!)
