My intentions for relevance to the theme is hinted by the clocktower but ran out of time as I'm used to 3day jams and was focused more on game feel. The Player/s would have let the chickens out during the day to feed on various insectoids and bring them back when the ravenous snakes surfaced at the sound of the clocktower bell. Your score would be based on how well they're fed each day (would maybe have had certain sections that have more insects so you'd need to bring them to the right place) and how many chickens are left so you'd be shown your score at the end of each night/beginning of the day. I have a bunch of other thoughts for this as well.

[to be added]
  1. gates you can open and close
  2. better music
  3. chicken sounds
  4. snakes eat chickens
  5. chicken feeding state
  6. etc.
    oh and don't scroll up...

This is obviously unfinished but what's here is pretty neat. I really like the art style, especially the weird leg movements. The sound effects are also nice and the music sets the tone of the game well. It's kinda fun picking up the chicks and carrying them around too.

At first, I thought it was starting to rain and that I was hearing rain drops on the window. But nope, it's just the step sounds. xD Too bad it's missing a bunch to b "playable". You lack a goal and stuff. A shame cause the game looks very funny. I just love how the chicken (that look more like ducks or goose) move with their neck and legs. Everything is so funny. Too bad you could not finish it, it looks promising!

This is a really cool proof of concept, it already feels good to play with, so that's promising :D (the music and sound is even decent, which is so rare that it needed to be mentioned!)

Too bad there's no relevance to the theme :(

Also I guess you know this but it seems like the collision mask for the angles fences is misaligned, with the "top" of it going too high and the "interior" letting you get near it too much.

I'm so sad this is unfinished, this is the one project I was the most excited about ahah The animation and art are SO GOOD and it feels so great; I really wish there was at least some kind of gameplay, I want more of that :( Amazing work dude, really impressive

Neat start! I included it in my GM48: Countdown compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/sIqVaQkuHIo

Sad that you couldn't finish, but bonus points for using IK.

Yep - I'm going to need you to show me how you did that animation. That was fantastic! It's unfortunate you didn't get much farther because I didn't know what to do.

Like a few reviewers said, it's a GameJam - I don't think anyone actually finished - I know I didnt. With that said, I think it would be very helpful if you would add information to the description as to what you "intended" it to be.

I see the countdown part - but what did you imagine for this?

The legs are done procedurally by finding the correct foot placement and then using circle intercections to find the knee joints. ;D
I was going to make it so you try to keep the chickens alive. You'd need to bring them out during the day to eat and then bring them back before the snakes come out at night when the clocktower bell rings. I'm eventually going to make it multiplayer and maybe make it so you can have teams or something to see who can hold out the longest. Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it!

Would love to see this game when it's done!

Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot of content for me to rate. No relevance to the theme whatsoever, not much in the terms of gameplay, but the graphics were pretty awesome. Excited to see what this becomes!

Yea sorry about that, was too focused on getting things too feel good than actual gameplay mechanics but I did have a plan for it, I'll update the description to go over what I had in mind. There's a bit there in the game that was hinting at it but sadly ran out of time. Thanks for the interest ;D

Oh god the art style is amazing and there's a great deal of immersion on it. I mean, I played it for a good, solid five minutes even though it wasn't finished! I'd love to see where this lands! Where can I follow its development?

Would have loved to see what this game could have been, but I definitely think you made the right choice using your time to build out this sandbox rather than trying to stuff systems and rules into it.

There's a lot of character packed into these characters and how they move, and I'd be excited to see what sort of game can come from this prototype you've made

Thank you! I'm still continuing this and personally love sandbox games where you just fiddle around with things and take in the scenery. The systems are somewhat there though (I did want to hint at what I had planned for the theme at least) but I ran out of time and was having too much fun with leggs (updated the description if you're interested).

I like the vector animation. Maybe too ambitious of a game for 48 hours but well done.

Yeah so it's not finished - SO WHAT?! - This is a game jam people so y'know it's not necessarily about that.

Although there's not a huge amount there - I think ALL of what IS there is BRILLIANT. The animations are really jaunty and fun and the art style is intensely good - the characterisation of the chicks is really doofy and goofy and I'm just like HEY you're coming with me to safety ya big useless meatsack with impossible creepy freaky legs.

The fox character! (PLOT TWIST - the Fox has to SAVE the chickens - LOVEIT)

Excellent music - really inspired me to go out and save chicks 'n stuff.

Whatever this game becomes, (if you choose to continue with it) - I know that I'm definitely going to play it.

Yeah definitely continuing this one (was having too much fun). Tysm for all the kind words and interest! Hoping to add some more characters in the mix and make it multiplayer with a few different modes and unlockables (I updated the game description for how it was supposed to play out).

It's a beautiful playground with awesome procedural animation and day-night cycle. I would have loved for there to be more of a "game" in there though.
