You brought only one bullet and a dodgy grappling hook to a battle which does not exist because I did not properly prepare one. You see the name, it has two meanings. Not only did your character not bring enough ammunition for a sustained fight, but also I did not make a battle at all. Instead of a battle there is a series of platforming challenges, which is probably harder and would have required more preparation if you (the character) knew they were coming. Hopefully the faulty grappling hook will be enough to see you through the entirety of the challenges. Or maybe the game is impossible.

Funny story, nice graphics. I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the GM48, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/ZzdTZAUuWWs

I really love this game. Level 7 and 9 were way too hard though, and level 8 felt really uninspired :(

I completed it and I only died 69 times! Anyway, the reverse grappling hook mechanic is super fun. There isn't that much to the game but I still had a good time just because of how enjoyable it is to use. The "one shot" does feel a bit tacked on but it is interesting how you don't necessarily have to touch the level's end to complete it.
Fun as it is, the game's quite lacking in polish. The background and player sprites look good, but there is a noticeable lack of animation. The lack of audio is also pretty jarring.

Was confused at first because grapples are supposed to attract not push aha

This game is really unfinished, which is a shame, because the reverse grappling hook physics were really fun, and the levels were designed with the precise knowledge of how everything works in the game, the platforming in the last levels was tight af.

Honestly I enjoyed this, unfinished and broken or no. The grappling hook acting more like a weird jetpack was kind of hilarious and fun. I played way more levels than I was expecting too.
Kudos for trying to implement such a complex mechanic on a short time scale! The background and character art were quite good as well.

I'm pretty sure that's not how a grapple hook works... But it was a blast to use! Easy to control and responsive. Although it was pretty easy to exploit some areas with its insane reach. Not complaining though, cause i wasn't about to spiked that far into a level! Really love your art style too. Nice job!

I really liked the grapple hook idea! You should have made that the only movement mechanic, or added some more physics things (grapple swinging?). The levels were cool to navigate too - would be even better with some puzzle mechanics too (find a key/button, etc).
The player looks pretty cool too! I wonder what their story is...

Like that the grapple hook is inverse what you think it is. Impressed that there are 9 levels as well.
Of course sound would have helped, and the one shot thing seems a little tacked on (except in level 6, then I see how it is a live or die thing)
Cheers!
