Clock escape!

Instructions The first screeen you enter is a grid of instructions.
You can fill this grid with the operations listed at the top.
When clicking the run button, you get into the game itself.

Well, the game ended sooner than I thought :D It was really nice! The fact that it's slow didn't really bother me, you can let the game play itself for a few seconds in the background for "long" instructions. The biggest issue for me was the placement of instructions. I wish we could just "paint" the selected instruction, instead of having to drag it on every second. But that's really a minor complaint, and it was a very good jam game.

Neat idea, though little bit cumbersome to wait it out. Game reminded me of my old jam entry Minibots I liked the athmospheric music and sound effects ^^

I did beat the game, managed to get the sword and defeated the guard :)

The idea is neat and the game is well designed, but there really needs to be a way to speed it up. I get that it's supposed to be 60 instructions in 60 seconds, but it's quite tedious with the current speed. That said, there is a good core concept here. Having to move around to collect new instructions was a nice touch. The graphics look great and the music is pleasing to listen to.

I think this is an interesting idea in theroy and there is a lot of potential here, my only critisisim is how slowly it moves, that and having to click and drag the instructions each time made it a bit of a slog - I really think with some controls and speed improvements this would be a fun game, it's a nice attempt and hopefully these improvements post jam will make it tons better :)

This was really unique and I played all the way through to the end. That said it was rather slow.

It would be nice if we could place multiple movement panels at once. It becomes a bit of chore having to go back and forth to drag a single panel onto one of the tiles.

The gameplay could use some speeding up too. I realise you were trying to tie it into the 60 second theme and have each movement take place after a second but when you have to repeat the game so many times it does become a bit tiresome.

It's also in need of some instructions. It took me a moment to figure out what was actually happening and what was being asked of me. But I really do like the main mechanic and I think with some more work you could create a really interesting and unique puzzle game here.

This is an amazing start that just isn't really realised enough as it stands.

Definitely required a tutorial just to get started (for anyone reading who didn't understand: you get 60 "steps" to move, represented by the grid 1-60, and when you run it, the clock will follow each of these instructions once per second. You can acquire new moves, then add them back into the 60 seconds of movement.)

It also seems very slow - sure, 60 seconds, but I think you matched the theme just with the "ticks" and I'd've been a lot happier if I could nip through the trial and improvement aspect of the game a little faster.

What an idea, though! I think that's this game's best asset as it stands, you could really take this idea and run with it, and run far. That's the best thing about it.

Cute clock, but I have no idea how to play the game.

To agree with many others, the concept is great but it can just become very bogged down without a way to quickly assigning inputs or without being able to speed up the game overall. I though the characters were cute and definitely think the concept could go much further with some UI polish!!

Figuring the game out was really cool, awesome concept. When it comes to moving beyond the starting area there becomes a need for a faster way to input instructions. Maybe using the arrow keys could automatically input in sequence for quick input, idk. Anyway great job!

That might be a good idea. Maybe even scrapping putting in your instructions in advance and taking in one input at a time might speed up the game. Thanks for the input!

Wow! That was super cool. It took me quite a while to even figure out how the game worked, but it was worth it when I did!

    Very very good job

It's a long haul, but a good concept to further flesh out.

I absolutely love the main mechanic here, especially collecting new instructions throughout the level, although having to go back to the instruction editor and dragging all the blocks into place only to wait to move is a bit tedious. A fast-forward mechanic would be pretty nice, as well as a way to place several instructions at once.

Thank you for your feedback! I felt like having a fast-forward button would be cheating on the main theme, as it would not take 60 seconds. In hindsight, it would have made the game more tolerable :)
