Summary

Tommy's Dream World is praised for its charming art style, imaginative storytelling, and unique atmosphere. However, multiple players experienced frustrating bugs and crashes, particularly related to enemy interactions, which hindered gameplay completion. The platforming mechanics received criticism for being too slippery and floaty, increasing difficulty and player frustration. Audio and control options were noted but had minor issues like repetitive music and limited key bindings. Overall, the game shows promise but needs more polish and bug fixes.

Cute game. I included it in my GM48: Collect! compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/QbScIDsTCaU

    Fullscreen doesn't seem to work.

The really loose friction makes the platforming incredibly difficult.

Even if you personally prefer using Space to jump in a platformer, I think you should still allow people who prefer W/Up to jump to use those keys.

Also, the game crashes when an eye touched you in the rocket level.

Not a terrible game, but those issues made it kinda frustrating to play >.<

It seems like the game crashes every time you get hit by a eye in the spacerocket level. But I got to the ending anyways. All I had to do was to play that level first and wait for the first cutscene every time I got hit by an eye. I like that you kept the game short but still made a lot of different obstacles and artworks throughout the levels. I really like the gun you get in the space rocket. I feels very good to shoot and hit enemies. The music fits the theme of the game, but it got repetitive after a while, and sometimes it doesn't loop.

Really enjoyed playing. I wish you the best of luck!

I enjoyed the child-like innocence of the game's imagination and storytelling. The floor is lava, the toys are in danger, etc. However the gameplay itself was a little frustrating. The movement was a little too floaty, which inflated the difficulty a lot for what would have been an otherwise solid and enjoyable game! Also I encountered a bug twice where upon dying the gun object would be left in the game still. I couldn't complete the game after it crashed the second time, I was too angry at the lost progress. Aside from those small problems, I thought it was quite unique and charming. Good work, just do a little more testing going forward!

I liked the smoothness of the game, only the platforming was a bit too slippery for my taste. Also it kinda has this oldschool adventury feeling about it. Nice work. :)

The game looks really nicely done! I kept running into game breaking errors however which forced me to abort the process of the game, the cutscene at the beginning felt a little slow, a skip button would have been quite nice to have.
