alt text

Make sure the yeti doesn't wake up!

You are deep in an ice cave exploring when you come across a large sleeping creature! You are careful not to wake it up, however you alerted a large horde of cave bats! Quickly stomp in certain areas of the cave to cause icicles to drop and stop the bats before they wake up the creature, for it is sure to be mad to have its hibernation ruined!

Controls

Use the A S D F J K L ; keys to drop icicles onto bats.

Click on the arrows to raise / lower your skills in between waves.

Press the spacebar to close the menu and continue onto the next wave of bats!

    I'm glad I'm not on a DVORAK keyboard 😄

Neat lil game with a control system I'm surprised I've not seen more - makes sense to utilise the physical layout a keyboard offers with the in-game controls, although it did take a little bit of getting used to!

Very innovative! I like the art style and the music is great. The gameplay starts out challenging, but after a few upgrades it becomes easy to just mash all 8 keys repeatedly and drop a constant barrage of icicles. It is fun to wipe out tons of enemies that way though. :D

This was a fun game but I did find that I seemed to be unbeatable after a while. I lost a few hearts earlier on, especially to the larger bats, but after a few upgrades I found myself able to stop all incoming enemies rather easily. Even so, I still had fun with it.

I really like the art, especially the Yeti.

Also a couple of issues I encountered, well actually the first might not be an issue but might be intentional. It seemed that sometimes the icicles would not respond to my key press and wouldn't drop. I'm not sure if there is an intentional delay on when you can drop icicles, or wether this is caused by pressing too many keys at once or just an unintentional bug.

The other issue is that I use a spanish keyboard. On spanish keyboards, the Semi colon key is located in a different location and also requires the shift key to be pressed in order to use it. Even whilst pressing shift the game didn't seem to let me use it but due to having to press shift and the different location it would have been too difficult to use anyway. Regardless, as I mentioned earlier, I was able to defend myself pretty easily after a while even without using the icicle designated to the semi colon key.

But yeah, despite these few issues I did end up playing for a while and had fun doing so.

I enjoyed the game, the bosses were kinda hard though. The Upgrade system is cool as well as the "jump scare". Gets kinda repetitive after a while but for a GM48 its a solid entry!

Thanks for your feedback! The bosses can be kinda tough, I liked the challenge and feel of having to mash all the keys to kill them as fast as possible tho personally.

Me and my son played this game. He did the controls on the right and I did the control on the left. I would say the art is very eye catching and has a nice clean simple style to it. I like the tones and colours. I like how the yeti pops out at you like "Grr".

We was quite satisfied to reach a certain point in the game where a certain larger enemy shows up. The animated bats look cute but also like "Ahhh bats!"

Sometimes when I'm sure I pressed a key the icicle never fell down. Which might occur when pressing multiple keys at the same time? Or maybe that was done intentionally?

Overall nice art direction maybe just a couple of gameplay tweaks would be cool.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it. The reason for icicles not falling may have been they were still on cooldown, or like you said with pressing multiple keys at the same time. Some keyboards don't allow more than 3-4 keys at once so that could be the issue.
