Great game! Some very cool puzzle, though the biggest issue is when it opens up. There's quite a few ways to get softlocked, and not a lot of ways to cancel wrong moves. Thank god for that comment talking about the ability to push stuff ☠
Also, there's not real limits or indications of where you need to go, so I was never sure if I should bring boxes with me or not, sometimes doing so would break previous puzzles, etc. So there's quite a lot of trial and error, but the errors are potentially very punitive. And.. I'm not sure if I skipped a bunch of puzzles on the right side? You can get there with water, and that color scroll puzzle only lets you get back out, so it's not important if you didn't drain the water. Same after getting the 3rd spell, I just kept everything flooded.

Anyway, even with those complaints it was still a great experience.

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely made some big oversights in regards to softlocks, and it would have been better to divide things up into rooms so you know which boxes belong in which area. And having the restart button teleport you back to a checkpoint should have been included. The right side of the room was a bit weird - initially I had it so you could go right or left, but that was too open, so I locked off the right side until you get the water level up, but I left in all the old puzzles lol.

An absolutely wonderful game! The music is beautiful, the art is minimalist but clear and readable, the level design is gorgeous and there's even a pretty good story to follow! There's a part of the game where it suddenly becomes very open and it is in that moment, I knew I was playing something special.

I played Wizard School to its end, it's a delight and I wouldn't be surprised if I revisit it again. :)

The puzzles in here are really well thought out, very impressive and far beyond me figuring them out haha, it was really well made and the minimalistic art style fitted well with the game, plus gamepad support as well, you are treating us! Great job! :)

What a beautiful game. Usually, I play gm48 games for a few minutes, but this one kept me playing for an hour. Art, music and game concept are masterpiece.

I got stuck on teleportation part, but I probably find the correct method later.

If this is a work done in 48 hours, then hats off and I wish you 1st place in this jam.

    Thanks for submission.

Thank you for playing! There are multiple ways to solve the puzzles towards the end, but things are very spread out so you'll have to swim around quite a bit to get from point to point. Looking back now, I could have cut out 1/2 of the empty space and it would have still been the same experience ahaha. I did make the game within the 48 hours, took ~9 hours on Saturday to do the code, art, and levels, then ~5 hours on Sunday for finishing the final level, music, and sound effects.

You got me. Hook, line and sinker. Couldn't tell if the bit when the music cuts out was just a bit of comedic timing or a premature ending. It was neither, and better than either.

Loved it. Loved it loved it loved it.

This was a fun puzzle game and had some considerable play time for someone like me who got stumped a few times. I really liked how the world was much bigger than originally let on, and the writing had good humor. At times I wasn't sure if I needed to back track or not, and the uniform look of the level design caused me to get lost a couple of times. The music was nice but the game felt really quiet after the music disappeared. I think the ending might have been more impactful with some other track to occupy the silence.

I definitely could've put more time into making music. I usually work on a team for GM48 and only do programming, so the music was 100% an afterthought lol

Thanks for playing! You can press Escape to restart a level, but it restarts from the beginning so you might lose a lot of progress.

A puzzle game with platform elements. I liked the tutorial and learning curve at the beginning to get familiar with the mechanics of the game. Do not want to spoiler other elements of the game, but liked how it became more difficult and complex. Music fits to the style, my freetime just flew away while playing it. :) Thanks for the experience, great game!

This is a very interesting puzzle game with an entertaining story. The music is fun and casual, and the pixelated low saturation art style looks really nice. The gameplay for the most part was smooth, but I would recommend adding a sprint, and reducing the regular walk speed to allow more precise movements.

P.S. Not sure if it's an intentional mechanic, but you can push the boxes by walking into them and spamming the zap spell.

Thanks for leaving feedback! I agree that the movement speed isn't the best - the small size of the boxes ended up making it more precise than expected. Being able to push boxes wasn't intentional, but I decided to leave it in to make some of the puzzles less tedious :)

The concept of having a puzzle game with floating boxes and a global water level has been in my head for a long, so I'm glad to have finally been able to make it, even if was just a jam game. The open world twist ended up being detrimental to the level design (especially with the softlocks that forced you to restart the entire area), but I think it made the experience more unique and memorable, which was one of my goals this time around. Thank you all for playing and leaving feedback, and see you next GM48!
