You play as a box-summoning bot which needs to escape the facility.

This is a single player 2D puzzle platformer. Advance through all levels to finish the game. (There is only 2 :P )

CONTROLS:

  • Movement -- A / D
  • Jump -- W
  • Space -- Summon box above you ( You need to be on top of a box to summon a box, except first one )
  • Restart -- R
  • Escape -- Return to menu / Quit

My 5th time entering the gm48. Everything made solo in less than 12 hours. I just wanted to create something.

Feel free to comment and leave any bug reports! Cheers!

Short but good game! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GM48 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/3epPRcwgayM

Interesting idea. But like prob said, the level design barely explores the implications of the restrictions, which is the most interesting part in puzzle games :(

I kinda see what you were trying to go for here, but the level design didn't really play too much with the starting idea, and the game is far too short to explore its potentials, also the game lacks polish and sometimes I'd die without reason.

Even if the restriction seems a bit arbitrary, it would be interesting to see what kind of puzzles could be made when you can only make a box while on top of another one. Unfortunately with only two levels that idea is barely explored here.

Anyway, I like the graphics. They're simple and effective, plus the colours are nice. The music is also pretty nice but the loop is so short that it gets repetitive quite quickly.

If i had more time I could have experimented more on the level and mechanic design.

      Thanks for the feedback!

Well, I'll be honest, it needs some polish. The box sometimes kills you without any valid reason and the whole mechanic is a bit strange. (I assume it's because the box kills you when it's not stable) Why do you need to be on a box to summon a new one? It called for what I'd describe as a weird experience. A bit confusing. The music feels very repetitive, the loop is too short.

That said, still impressive to show that in 12 hours of work, well done!

You are absolutely correct. It needs a lot of polish... The confusing mechanic was just to restrict player movement.

      Thanks for the feedback!

The animations are nice, the music is cool and the levels are simple, but show enough of your game quickly, which is nice if one has only a few time to play it. Nicely done!

PS: It's impressive how you made it in 12 hours. Congratulations!

Interesting game. It's a pity you had so little time for working on it as i read in the description.
