Released, yet unfinished, as is with most of my solo jam projects. Lacking in music and sound (read: none), with a whopping minute or three worth of gameplay!
The gamepad code is a little sketchy so if you have multiple gamepads connected one of them should work (iterates through slots 0-15 and picks the first connected device).

Summary

Souls and Scythes received praise for its strong art style, animations, and visual consistency. Players enjoyed the gameplay mechanics, especially the teleporting and scythe combat, though some found the enemies hiding in barrels unexpectedly challenging. The main criticism was the lack of sound effects and music, as well as limited content and early-stage feel. Overall, the game shows promise and potential for further development.
