Gameplay

You are Noah and have foreseen another flood. You have prepared Arks for each species, now you only need to place them on their designated Ark. Since you are a bit forgetful, you decided to collect the animals in pairs.

Each animal has their designated Ark

foxes go to the top left fox Ark giraffes go to the top right giraffe Ark rabbits go to the bottom left rabbit Ark elephants go to the bottom right elephant Ark

If you are near an Ark it will be selected. If you carry two animals and press 'space' you will deliver the animals to this Ark selected Ark You will take/place animals to the currently selected filed (marked with blue) selected field Animals that are moving will block the filed they are currently going to with a red cross. blocked field If you have two of the same animals in your hand, you have to deliver them to an Ark. If you deliver an Animal to the wrong Ark, you will loose 100 points and loose your multiplier. If you deliver them to the right Ark, you will gain 100 points times the current multiplier.

If you only carry one animal, you can place it down on any field of your choosing. Once you have two animals of the same type in your hands, you cannot place the m any more on the field.

The animals will speed up each 5 correct delivered animals.

Loosing

If an animal wants to walk to the third row and it is blocked you loose.

  • 100 points for correct animal, +1 to multiplier for that species
  • -100 points for wrong animal

Nice graphics, fun game. I included it in my GM48: Collect! compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/Lw5l602H5TY

Fun little game! It should get harder a bit faster tough.

Best Noah Game since Konami's Noah's Ark on NES!

Fun game, although I wished it ramped up in difficulty a bit faster. I managed to get to 5800 points.

Really clear and good looking art. The concept is also quite insteresting and t fits the theme pretty well.

Ze game is very fun, but it is veri unrealistic because ze foxes would go to ze rabbits and eat them! Bat I liked it. Eight aut of ten.

Interesting idea. And pretty good game overall. I did find the early game a little slow, especially when you're waiting for animals to get where they want. Also I skipped by accident my game over screen because it was so sudden and didn't see my score at first, which is kind of a bummer :(

This game feels pretty polished. The art is very consistent and nothing looks out of place and the music feels appropriate!

I think this could be a solid base to build upon. I don't quite understand the 'modern' part, but that's really inconsequential. I do wish there were maybe at least one more mechanic for the jam version, but I understand that sometimes that just isn't possible in a jam. One idea I had was maybe if Noah had some way of scaring off some or all of the animals? You might have to add some downside to balance it out though.

Trying to select an animal sometimes felt a bit finicky, and it would've been nice to have 'pickup' and 'set down' sounds. Occasionally I would think I'd grabbed an animal only to realize a moment later that I'd actually put the held one down. It was also sometimes hard to tell where an animal was headed or whether I was in danger of failing due to any particular animal. But those are all getting a bit nitpick-y.

Also, seeing Noah haul around 2 elephants was pretty amusing. Noah is ripped!

PS. I uploaded a video of my playthrough. Is 5000 a good score?

Conceptually this is strong, it's a good blend of arcadey and puzzley elements to it, and it's very on theme. I also really like the idea of a bunch of animals just blindly charging at a pile of food, haha.

I think a couple changes to the formula would really cement this as a good game, maybe increase the franticness by adding a time limit, and maybe develop the combo system to be a little more impactful.

Very cute! Great art style too. I just wish that it was more challenging!

This game is great! Definitely one I could see playing in my downtime. The art and music are amazing - especially the music. The AI and mechanics feel tight, and the tutorial is well-written. My only complaint would be with the difficulty - it seems to never get harder. Ramping up the overall speed over time - with more animals, and them moving faster would help a lot. I also would suggest adding some sort of indicator as to an animal's final destination.

I could only play in windowed mode. I couldn't find a full screen button. It was kinda hard to control, perhaps have the moving around be the keys and the two animals being picked up with left and right click respectively?

I liked the music and the puzzle aspect of it. not sure how long it lasts, or what the end game condition is. That wasn't really very clear. Over all though it is a solid game jam game. Great job!

Sorry about no full screen mode, it was already too late when I realised that I forgot it...

Well, animal spawn rate and speed goes up for every 5 animal pairs you put in the right boats and you lose if it is not possible for an animal to enter the playing field. We wonted to make this clear with some markings on the board, but sadly we had not enough time for that.
