You play as a moving wooden box that needs to escape a burning building. its a platformer game with pieces of flaming debris falling from the ceiling that you need to avoid and fire spreading behind you. when you escape the building, you win. Use "WASD" to control

fire effect looks really cool, is that just bm_add or also some sort of bloom effect? it was super satisfying if you make those tricky jumps between blocks. I realized it sort of encourages speedrunning. After I got through the first level after dying a few times I sort of really got the hang of it and was able to get to the end :)

I was able to escape. The difficulty ranges from impossible to challenging depending on the RNG of the falling hazards but it's fun. Really fun gameplay

A simple but enjoyable platformer. I think my only main issue was the jumping. I think it would've been better if you had more of a variable jump rather than a jump at a set height. So if you were to just quickly tap the jump key you would do a smaller jump, but if you held the jump key you would do a higher jump. With jumping as it is now it can make getting through some parts alot more difficult since there are instances where a smaller jump would help you squeeze through some tight gaps (especially at that the very end of the game).

Other than that I like the rather dramatic music. It was quite fitting a made everything feel a bit more urgent. Some sound effects would've been nice though.

Also the fire effect was pretty cool and I did like that if you caught fire the screen just gradually turned orange till you died.

There was one graphical issue I noticed with the floor. Occasionally the edges would turn white just a brief moment, then go back to normal. Not sure what caused it but I noticed it quite often.

Other than that everything was fine. It didn't take me too long to get through but I enjoyed it. Great job.

I really like the concept and this is a fun little mini game - the fire effect was fantastic! I think one little nit-pick would be that I'd liked to have seen a little more work on the platforming engine, a little coyte time and maybe a variable jump to squeeze through some of the obstacles would have been a good idea - but overall it's a fun little challenge and I'm glad my block of wood made it through and escaped :) nice entry!

Solid engine and really nice graphics/effects. The randomness of the falling shapes makes it nearly impossible to progress at times, but also very satisfying when you survive a tricky jump.

Was fun, and very tough! Would've liked two smaller double jumps instead one big jump, as one of the reasons I caught on fire a lot of the time was going up even after I released jump. Otherwise, great job on a first jam entry!

What a great looking game! Your controls were great and it felt really good - I do like a hard game, but it was truly impossible due to the randomness of the object types, especially towards the beginning :( I still enjoyed checking it out though!

Pretty similar to what Zandy said, I think some of the randomness made it impossible to get through somtimes. I did love the music and the controls felt pretty good but I would love to have variable jump height so I'm not floating in the air after I jumped to high. Just some thoughts, overall a pretty good submission!

Wow, this is the hardest game of the entire jam! I like that dramatic piano going on. The randomness on each restart is really messing with my enjoyment of this game, though. The triangle + circle and triangle + triangle combos are deadly almost every time. Making the drops deterministic would have improved this entry I feel, but there is something special to how uncompromisingly hard it is now :D Overall, nice work and far better than my first jam entry!
