Our five heroes are going to try to find food every day for the next 40 days. When they don't find enough food, you can selected the person you want to sacrifice to save food for the other one by clicking on him. He will lost life but the other one will regen their life by eating. You can sacrifice more person than needed if you want to spare food. They are random events that appears randomly. Sometimes it is helpfull, sometimes it is not, and sometimes it is just for fun.

The rescue team will arrived 40 days after the begining of the game. You have to keep at least one person alive.


I did the drawing, the coding and the music during these 48h. First game jam project, and my brain was going to explode at the end. :)

I wanted to add like 20 events and some quests for the survivors but... well 48h is quite short...


BUG : At the end, when you win, the name of survivors is not written :(

    I just wanted Geralt to survive, it was my only quest. I sacrificed everyone to ensure his success. In the end the snake could not be stopped. And then the game crashed, good times :D

    Update: So we played the game threw initially, with hopes of keeping everyone alive. Geralt died to a prescripted unavoidable snake event. We played again to see if he could actually survive. We intentionally killed everyone else off, Geralt being the sole survivor should eventually die to a snake resulting in a crash. You might not see this, but hopefully it helps.

      Wow the game crashed ? I would like to know what happens ! I had fun writting the text for Geralt's death when he dies from starvation. If he was bite by a snake I guess you did not read it...

    Pretty engaging game. The music fit the mood perfectly! Art and writing are rough but don't detract from gameplay.

    I made it to the end with two people. More might have pulled through but the snakes got 'em.

    This game is soooo much fun!! The strategy of managing resources between charismatic characters presented in this game is top notch. The music conveys the ambience all right, although the scenery and characters need a more work on them. The RNG events are all right, but they need more balancing. On one run, I barely finished the game with only two survivors and on another run, everyone survived because I found 20 mangoes early on. Put new events, tweak your RNG and this game will be awesome, as it has a great replayability value.

      Thank you very much ! I didn't have enough time to make more event. Of course I wanted to add 20 events... And the balance is bad for the same reason. With less probability of events, the game is boring. With more probability of events, the 5 events are not enough... But I had lot of fun doing it and playing it too :)

    The first idea that comes to mind when reading the theme, here executed beautifully, even though the bad art kinda ruins it.

    The safest way to win is to just kill everyone except one person, and it seems quite fitting to be honest, but some balancing might bring to more fun and challenging gameplay.

      Yes I am really bad drawer... I really wanted to balance the game and putting more events (and making the game harder) but I had not enough time. Maybe I spend to much time drawing the ugly characters...

    Cool game. I failed the first time but managed to survive with Carol and Geralt the second time thanks to a surplus of mangoes. The idea is a pretty neat use of the theme and visuals and music help to convey the feeling of being stuck on an island.

    I feel like you could tone down the randomness a little. Some random events are fun but it's currently a bit imbalanced. You get a huge advantage from finding 10 mangoes and a huge disadvantage when someone instantly dies from a snake bite.

      Yes the balance was quite hard to do, and I didn't have enough time for it. The snake and the mangoes event is 2 time less frequent than the other events. Anyway thanks for the advices :)

    Not so much of a fan of the RNG. My first game had 3 people eaten by a snake and died while in my second game, just 2 people died of hunger...

    Not a bad entry though! It was fun to play

    Very nice game, but maybe the RNG should have been tweaked a little, my first game ended with 3 people dying one after the other because of snake bites. (there was a bug at the end because nobody was alive). And the next game they found 30 mangoes in the forest and never got bitten !

    Hey this is excellent! I dig the music and you really nailed the theme! Everyone died on island :( Geralt was attacked by two sharks on the last week! What the heck Geralt! And everyone else was poisoned so we couldn't eat them. Very nice job!

    I was really moved by the character of Hubert. Always upset but you feel that he has a very dark past and had hard times ... It reminds me ... some kind of old wize person, maybe it's because of his noise, looking like a little old-fashioned moustache ... And like him i like to stare at people. Even if I'm not blond.

    I didn't really like Geralt.

    Btw Paloma is really hot.
