HEY! :)
Controls and how to play are listed here in the description.
Normal Mode
Once the timer hits zero, the game is over. This is the intended way to play.
Rewind Mode
A mode for players who want to complete the game without resets. Dying will reset the level, timer, and your energy.
- WASD = Movement
- W or SPACE = Jump/Double Jump
- D = Drop through platform
- E = Stop/Start Time
- A and D = Move back and forth through time
- T = Die instantly
- When you travel back in time, you maintain your momentum from beforehand.
- Double jumping costs energy
- Activating a plug costs energy
- If you are stuck and don't want to wait out the timer, press T.
Shoutout to SmollSavage for last minute playtesting.

Aside from all of the controls being on the left hand (I rebound WASD to the arrow keys to comfortably play) I have nothing negative to say really. Cool time mechanic, and it's always fun when people make sequels to previous gm48 entries :D

Really cool mechanics and fun gameplay. The art and sound were great too.
I had a couple of issues but nothing major. It would've been nice if the controls were shown in game. Either just showing up on the title screen or on the first level or something. Although I did see them on the description page, I immediately forgot them as I went into the game and then had to back out again to check them over.
I also managed to get myself stuck a couple of times by running out of energy. I think there should've been away to regain your energy in those instances. Something like been able to charge it back up with a button. It still would've punished the player by taking time but then it also wouldn't leave them trapped.
Despite that though I really enjoyed it and had a good time. Great work.

Finally had time to play this, pretty good job!
Your great art style comes through as always, a lot of character in them little buggers.
The time mechanics are really neat, and using stored momentum though time as well as a way to teleport back is a really cool idea.
Not sure why everything is tied to an energy resource, it makes it really easy to trap yourself. And by limiting the use of the time revert/double jump, make me feel like I’m not allowed to play the game to beat it. Maybe I’m just overthinking it.
Also I landed on the exit pipe by accident, before I was done collecting ghosts, but because I had enough to move on, I lost out on collecting the rest of them. Maybe make it so you have to be pressing down on the pipe so move on?
Also WASD for platforms that don’t use the mouse feel kinda strange, not really a complaint, I just had my right hand on the mouse the whole time and realised that it was silly, seeing how I don’t use it in game.
All and all I had a bit of fun with this game, I know the feeling of burn out during a jam well myself. But I still think that this is a game to be proud of, not just glad you made something.
Keep up the good work!

I know you said you burned out while making this, but you should be super proud of what you uploaded. The theme, the visuals, and even the sound effects are fantastic! I wasted more time than I care to imagine just running around and jumping because the sound effect and controls were perfect.

Love the graphics! I included it in my GM48: Sixty Seconds compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/g5B8P6iV1PI

Very polished and thoroughly enjoyable! I'd expect nothing less from a Seltzy game. The mechanics take a bit to get the hang of between energy managment, time management, and time manipulation, but it's very satisfying once you do. Bouncing back in time to avoid backtracking is an especially fun concept. The visuals, sound effects, and music are great too.
The only complaint I have is that sometimes it's possible to run out of energy and get stuck, but the games short enough that it's not a big deal.

Thank you for playing and the kind words :D
Getting stuck was intended to encourage smarter use of energy but it certainly doesn't feel good when it happens (feels like a softlock). In a perfect world the player could generate their own energy to prevent that kind of situation.

Really really good!! I was I think 3 ghosts away from having 100, but I lost some time on the jumping pads because going from D to E was causing some troubles. And that's really my only complaint, I wish the rewind was on another key that didn't require the WASD fingers.
Oh and I'm not a fan of the energy draining ghosts, at least the first encounter, when you don't know what they do. There's a chance to get softlocked with not enough energy to free the ghosts in the next room. But that's not that big of a deal, even if I imagine you had more planned with those, there's plenty enough here.
Also the game window moves towards the top right of my screen every time it goes back to the title screen for some reason :D

I very frequently thought about adding an alternative button for stopping time but it just got away from me. I guess because it was low on the priority list.
Yeah the energy sapping ghosts were definitely underutilized. In retrospect it's not a very fun mechanic with the importance I placed on the energy.
As for the last thing, i'm dumb and don't know how to use cameras :D
Thanks for playing!

Think this has to be the most fun game of the entire jam. The time rewinding mechanic is reminiscent of games like Brade and is executed absolutely perfect here, and on top of some really responsive platformer controls, this game is an absolute joy to control. Though you can get stuck pretty easily in some levels, so pressing T to instantly reset was a welcome touch. The art, music and sound design is also really nice.
Seriously I would buy this if it was a full game on Steam or something, it's that good.
