This is a little different than my usual submissions, but I hope you enjoy, nonetheless.
Spells are useful for most things in Wizardland, but beware, Any Magic Can Affect Any Object!
Puzzle your way through the land casting wacky spells onto the landscape or creatures to recollect your spell gems and snag some coins. You can, will, and are invited to absolutely destroy the level and game as a whole, creatively breaking normalcy to help you achieve your goals. I specifically chose to exclude limitations on many things just to give you as much freedom as possible.
There are more than a few ways to traverse each puzzle scene, so travel in any order or direction you wish.
The "Locate" spell will help you check your progress as you work through the three main goals of the game.
-
First, recollect your spells. Your spells are strewn about the land in Spell Gems. The "Locate" spell may tell you where they are, but figuring out the how is up to you.
-
Second, use your spells to collect the natural grown Coins that are hidden in harder to reach places than the Gems. Once you have collected all the main Spells, your "Locate" spell will instead guide you to these.
-
Finally, have fun. P.S. There is a bonus spell hidden somewhere deep that the "Locate" can not see. Can you find it?
Controls:
- A, D: Left and Right
- Space: Jump
- Mouse: Select, Aim, Fire
Misc:
- Alt-Enter: Fullscreen
Spoilers/Cheats:
- Numpad *: Acquire all Spells instantly. (Please only use after trying to get them all yourself!)
Like I said, the game will break and just generally be extremely janky. Try to have fun with it, haha.

That was charming - I spent a lot more time with it than I thought I would when I initially saw it. The graphics are rough, and I wouldn't mind at all if the player moved a bit faster, but that might have been caused by my PC chugging a bit. The music and sound effects were neat, but I'm most impressed with the level design. Early on when you don't have as many spells and it's hard to really break the level, the "puzzles" are really creative. I could see this evolving into a really fun platformer puzzle game if you wanted to go that route with it. Good job!

Such an interesting idea! I had a lot of fun exploring and collecting (I think?) all the orbs. And honestly it wasn't that broken, except when it got stuck after I closed the game while everything was exploding :D
Sure, it's janky, and it would have been great with better platforming and collision, but honestly it's fine for what it does. But yeah like said below, to me the biggest issue is the spells moving blocks by a few pixels. Should definitely be at least half a tile!

I don't make games, but I do play them. This is a wonderful entry. I liked the style of it and the wizard is quite the endearing character!! I loved what you did with the spells as it made for a clever game play. Good music choice it flowed with the game perfectly. Congrats on a great job!

This game was really a lot of fun! Once I figured out what to do, I was sailing along enjoying the ride! The art , well the wizard himself was fun to have as the character and the spells made the game all the more fun. Sound effects/ music were cool. I liked it a lot! Keep up the great work. Awesome !

Man did I love breaking through everything to find all the spells and coins. This thing really makes up for the art and the music lol. Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun playing this game and figuring out how to get to every place using my spells. Great job!
Also I got all the coins and spells :) oh wait i realized theres that hidden spell lemme try to find it brb P.S.: Couldn't find it :(

Sadly I get a 'fatal memory error' when I press play. But I liked the menu music, so good work with that haha! I see no one else gets this error so it must be something on my side (so I won't rate your game!)

Sorry! Because all 59 bazillion floor squares are also objects and there wasn't time to optimize any of it, it can be hard on less powerful machines. My laptop can't run it! Thanks anyway, though! Maybe post mortem I'll put up a slightly more playable version.

This game was so fun to play. Wasn't really sure what to expect from the first few spells, but after getting the helicopter and the bird one I was hooked! Also, the environment change was a great touch.

What a fun concept! Yeah, it was extremely janky, but in all the right ways, haha. (I lost count of how many times I managed to get myself stuck in a wall, no idea what I would've done without a reset function lmao)

This is an interesting take on a platformer puzzler which I thought was a lot of fun, it was great getting to places you'd been to previously with a new spell thinking of the new areas and possibilities. A couple of points I would suggest:
- A spell to spawn at the nearest 'safe' spot instead of right at the start would be helpful to combat the fact that you are prone to getting stuck in walls
- No insta-death plane for going off the top of the map, the bottom of it sure but the top makes less sense
Other than that, this was a fun entry which I enjoyed!

As soon I open the game and enter the first level, a pop-up window "Fatal Memory Error" appears and the game crashes. I am not giving rating yet, since I am probably the only one with this kind of problem.

It is also a unique game, congrats. At first it was not obvious what to do, but once the first tile was moved up then I understood it. And finally managed to get all the spells with messed map already. :) All in all the gameplay was fun, some polishing would further improve the overall impression.

The frantic animations made me laugh out loud more than once 😂
Having all the spells effect the world in such a sandbox way is so much fun to mess around with. Like you mentioned in the description it's definitely very easy to break the game but nothing that a quick reset can't fix.
Absolute banger.

Very fun puzzle game! Once I got the helify, bird, and explosion spell I just started running around causing chaos. It makes me wonder how the concept could be expanded even further. Something that I feel like would make the earlygame a bit better would be if the generic movement spells (up, left, down, and right) moved the blocks a full space instead of just a few inches. It probably would have made it quicker to just move them rather than having to spam on them a few times.
Overall a fun sandbox game with lots of potential that could probably be streamlined a bit, nice work!
