The game throws you onto Dodge Street -- also known as One Shot City -- after an ominous warning from a woman named Aria. You'll have to play the games of the street's inhabitants to acquire new items and continue your search. But beware, most of the games are rigged and you only get one chance at each stop.

Controls: Arrow Keys - Move Player [1] and [2] - Talk to People (use numbers on keyboard, not number pad) [Enter] or [Space] - Enter a Game

Further instructions are provided within each street game.

Good luck!

Creepy game. I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the GM48, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/hQAzb_hhkk0

Really cool concept, not sure if I had enough games left to get to the end though, I guess i'll try it again later

This was an interesting game, something a bit different which is great to see. Great work managing to pull off an actual story in a jam game.

There were some issues: the 3-Card Monte card movement is not very smooth, which is an issue when you are trying to follow the cards with your eyes (yes, even if you're getting cheated anyway). Also, I've no idea what I was supposed to be aiming at in the shooting game.

The other games worked fine (though I managed to jam the slot machine one time by hitting my number keys too fast). The car racing game felt like the only fair one, so I played that until I found out the tricks for the other games.

The graphics were OK, not pretty to look at but there was a fair amount of them to be made in 48 hours for all the games, so that's reasonable. Lovely music (really good) but no other sound effects that I could find (even a mouse squeak would have been nice).

Overall, I enjoyed what I played of the game. The core loop of the game felt good, the games available were interesting and I have to commend you for going off the beaten path with a game design. Look forward to future content from you!

That was really nice. The atmosphere was like mom's spaghetti!

I love how games are rigged or too hard and you gotta figure out the tricks because world is unfair. I also like the way the game ends.

Some bugs though, but it was nice

Woo that was sweet! This game was oozing atmosphere. I loved the music! The art was really well done too. Pretty cool little story with a nice twist.

I did get a bug with the slot machines. If i pressed enter before the dude was done talking the machine would spin and then the game seemed to just be stuck on that screen. That was about it though.

    Very nice job!

Wow, this is the most deserved 10 in immersion I'll give probably, that story was done really well and the plot twist at the end was so good. I love how you only get one shot so before going into any minigame you have to really know what you're doing. Some bugs here and there but that's to be expected. Overall a great game, I loved the atmosphere so much.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Yes, (as always), I'm discovering all the bugs AFTER submitting, but I'm glad you appreciated the story and the bugs didn't cut your experience short. Thanks for finishing!

I had a lot of trouble following what was going on, sorry. I found the music stunning to listen to, and the whole part about the kids helping you out was a real nice touch. I enjoyed the conversations I had with the various characters around the town too.

It looks like there's some real depth to this game! Each mini-game is fun and challenging in its own right, and there's a story tying the whole city together. I'm looking forward to playing it through and finding it out. HOW DID YOU MAKE THE ORBS?!
