Biography

My name's Ernie and I use game engine tools to create immersive experiences primarily in the field of fine art. My work has won awards and been featured in galleries utilizing primarily Unreal Engine to tell Appalachian narratives of mining disasters. I use LiDAR geographical data, 3D scans, and 3D modeling applications to create visual assets. In my free time I love to build 2D projects primarily using low-raster techniques ranging from hand-spriting to taking photographs in the field and desynthing them into low-res assets. I am also a musician. I compose electronic music and play the sousaphone in a band called byPassers. This year I have been dedicating my time to learning more on the programming side to familiarize myself with more hand-coded projects. It's not exactly my passion, but I feel it leads to a more concise and open communication with people I want to collaborate with in the future. LET'S JAM
