Nice game, I really like the artstyle and music. The pirate ships were a little hard to avoid, they seemed pretty big compared to their path, but sometimes I just went back to previous spot to get a better angle and skip a few islands and avoid the enemies :)

I liked the music, although the enemy placement seemed a bit questionable sometimes. Overall though a decent timewaster.

Very cute entry. I felt like the art and sound tied the game together very nicely and fit the game extremely well. The gameplay was simple but gauging the timing was fun. I know there was a counter for time, but I was thinking it might be neat to have counted the unique islands you go to for high score replayability. Nice job!

This has a brilliant "short and sweet" approach, it's simple, easy to understand and endlessly replayable to beat the high-scores. The paper style is unique as well and it's got a certain charm about it, good job! :)

I like it! Cute style, and a fun and unique gameplay idea. My favorite part, though, is honestly the music. I like how it builds up, adding instruments over time, and when it's fully present it feels like a goofy Nintendo game song. The variety of enemies is also appreciated, though I do wish the pirate ship moved around more. It's stationary enough that if it's on my path, sometimes it just feels like I'm going to hit it no matter what. Maybe a way to fix that would be giving the player multiple islands to click sometimes? Even if one path is blocked, you'll be giving them a possible escape route.
Either way, this is nitpicking-- the game is fun, and presented well. It fits the theme and has its own unique spin! Overall, nice job!

Big fan of the hand-drawn style, and the gameplay is lighthearted and fun. Music is good and fits nicely. Good work!

I really like this concept, it's simple and could just go on forever. Makes me think that, with some extra polish and balancing, it would work really well as an entry for Opera's offline game contest!
I think it's been mentioned before, but the game would benefit from a bit of postprocessing when it spawns in the islands and enemies to make sure it hasn't generated an impossible layout.
The music is really swank when it gets going, but at the start I thought something had gone wrong with the audio when it goes fully quiet, haha. That's a very minor nitpick, though. Not really anything that needs fixing.

I liked the doodle-like artstyle! Sometimes I found obstacles that makes it impossible to cross between islands, but maybe I'm just bad haha.
Nice game!

Thank you! I had hoped that the movement of the enemies would always make it possible, but sometimes the game can still be a bit unfair at times.

I liked the hand-drawn aesthethic, really made the experience unique amongst the other games. The gameplay loop is executed well so I can't really complain in that departament. however if there's anything i would change it would be the implementation of the leaderboards so that I can see how I fare against other players.
Overall, i'd say the game is pretty good!

Thanks! I tried to make the game use the GM48 leaderboard API, but I didn't get it working within the time. A shame, but it is what it is :(

The art and music is so cute! Had a fun time playing it too :)
It seems like where the enemies spawn and which ones spawn dramatically impact how hard the game is, but I guess that smooths out for longer runs.
One simple element that might add to the game is occasionally encountering moving islands so that you can risk waiting longer to get a better angle.

Thank you! Balancing is always a tricky thing for a game jam, isn't it? I hadn't thought of moving the islands themselves, might be interesting...

Amazing how much extra life adding an extra frame of animation to static objects adds to a game's feel. Fun, casual, good atmosphere and difficulty level, with really chill music. Art and sound effects were decent but not outstanding.

I love the art for this game. The scribbles and crumpled paper for the ocean made this super charming. Ended up scoring 121.
I think it was a nice interpretation of the theme. The places surrounding an island are dangerous and you have to be prepared to skip through the danger until you reach the island, your safe haven.
Some of my favourite parts were when the islands spawned in such a way that it did not feel like I had a clear choice to make so I could choose which island I wanted to "hop" too. I think that would be a cool way to expand it where you might even need to backtrack to an island and go back and forth to avoid the danger.
I enjoyed the start and end screens of the game. I like how you can see the map already moving behind the title so it is a very seamless way to see the game start and end. Think that works really well for a game like this where you can just continue on and try again to get a better score.
I thought I had some hitbox issues but I played the game a few times more and I don't think I found something serious.
Very cute game with an interesting art style!
