​It's high noon and your targets are all unarmed - but you're not! Only problem is, you've got a gun with an extremely weird quirk.

It asks you questions.

Rev%lver sees you move through quiet, serene deserts, destroying and stealing from docile robots while conserving as much of your ammunition as possible. Every time you pull the trigger, the gun needs a correct percentage level set - and the only way you can work it out is with each given question or statistic. The further away from the correct setting you are, the more ammo the gun discharges and wastes.

If you run out of ammo, scurry back and your captor will give you a refill... for a fee, of course.

Presented with small amounts of humour, Rev%lver has a 97% chance of being fun!

    • The dialogues are superbly hilarious, probably the funniest game I've played for this gm48
    • Speaking of which, I don't think they should automatically scroll... You get distracted for a second and they're gone. I'm a fast reader, so it's not a problem when I'm on the game. But I can imagine its pace being too fast for slower readers
    • Sometimes not sure what population the questions are accounting for. Is it always worldwide (whenever no population is specified)?
    • The font in game (as opposed to in dialogues) is cool, but not the most optimal to read. Since the game is mostly revolving about the percentage questions, I think the game would have benefited from a more neutral font.
    • I wished a bit more happened visually, would have looked so cool to have something mroe elaborate when shooting.
    • Pretty cool idea! It's also educative, which is nice.

    One of my favourite games of the jam, for sure. Super unique, and very entertaining. Got to day 9, which I attempted a bunch of times but could never get past 😥

    I felt like many of the questions were designed for Americans and Brits (but so is much of what's on the internet, huh). I'd answer many of those just based on "stereotype knowledge", which was often completely incorrect. Both frustrating and eye-opening, haha.

    I noticed a curiosity in one of the questions: "The percentage of young Britons offered a place in their/their parents' first primary school of choice". I'm guessing that used to say "his/her", but those words were find & replaced with "their"? I would've probably done the same. And I can imagine vetting hundreds of questions would've been very tedious though, so this was bound to slip through the cracks lol

    This was awesome! Great idea, great gameplay, great artwork, great a lot of stuff. Couldn't get so far because i am dumb but questions were really interesting and mostly suprizing for me.

    The font was a bit hard to read during gameplay. Text shadow wasn't doing me a favor in that regard. That is my only complaint. Regardless, good job!

    It was nice game, good idea, though theme could have been incorporated better. Liked that background sprites had 'depth' as player walked. And the scenes between were nice touch and gave more immersion to this game than just barebones question asking.

    Alright this is very good but also infuriating. Spent way too long on this :'D

    I barely passed day 10 (with 1 ammo left) and only because the questions started looping. Even with that I couldn't get past day 11. Days get so long that there should definitely be a modifier depending on how good your answer was. Also some questions just ruin your day instantly, which feels very unfair (especially since so many question revolve around american / UK culture).

    Anyway apart from that it's very well made, I just had a hard time reading sometimes because of the text's shadow, I think is should be closer?

    I got to day 9 in one run before I couldn't get any further. (This is without googling any answers!). Took me a few tries on the later days but, had plenty of money to keep buying more ammo :D

    It's a cool idea, didn't think I'd like it to start with but I really enjoyed it, as you can tell from me getting to day 9 without any help! :D Took 4 tries to get past day 7 lol. Some of the answers really surprised me and I also surprised myself that I knew some of the obscure ones. On day 8 I managed to get 3 in a row that were 1% off.

    Must have taken a long time to find all the questions! How many are there in total?

    Good job, a bit of an out of the box idea that is nicely done, it was fun!

    It's a simple, unique concept executed perfectly. Difficult at times but I felt unable to stop playing, one of the things keeping me going being the dialogue. Thanks for giving me a months worth of education :v

    Nicely presented game and hilarious dialogue :) However I didn't complete it because the amount of shots required to progress at some point was way too high.

    Also google is my friend.
