However, due to ammo shortages, you only have one bullet!
GAMEPLAY: The Cult of the Beanie is a 2-D stealth platformer. Your goal is to hit the boss of each level with your single bullet. If you are detected by the robots or the turrets or you miss your one shot, you must start over! WARNING: This game is hard!

This game crashes and freezes a ton for me, so I can't record it (or play it really)

This seems pretty cool. Unfortunately, the game keeps freezing so I can't make much progress. I enjoyed what I could play though there is a little too much waiting required sometimes.
The graphical style is pretty nice. The title music is good too, so it's a shame there's none in game. It feels quite empty without some kind of audio.

Im glad you enjoyed the game! I'm also really sorry about the soft locks :(. Also, I really appreciate the feedback about the wait times. If I ever go back to this game, I can pretty easily change the starting direction of the robots so I can fine tune that. I ran out of time to do FX and stuff, but I'm glad you enjoyed what there was!

Is... is "their" false...?
One tip on text: avoid big walls of texts. Prefer several pages with fewer text!
Got stuck in a wall once and it made the game freeze. Considering how bad it froze (affecting my computer as well, alt+f4 wasn't enough), my guess is there is a loop code that doesn't end. You might want to check on that, loop errors are way worse than game crashes because they are far more annoying to deal with (crash errors close the game while a loop forces you to do the good old alt+ctrl+del)
It happens too often, couldn't progress further. It's nice that the game saves in the last room you played by the way!
Also, the main menu has a nice little music but the game itself has none?

Thanks so much for giving feedback! And also thanks for giving some pretty nice advice about the game. Sorry about the soft locks... I basically put in the game saves to get around those but it was more like a really bad band-aid than anything else. I'm glad you liked the music, but I didn't really get around to doing FX. Anyways, thanks so much for playing!

Ran into some softlocks when the player got stuck on a corner, but had fun when that wasn't the case. The wall jump was responsive and built well, it let me fly up the wall to get out of vision when needed.
Good story and creative way to do the tutorial within the first level. I would have loved in-game sound during the levels!

Thanks so much for playing! Really sorry about the soft locks... It really sucks that that got in the way of almost everyone, and I'm still going through the code to figure out the problem.. Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed the game and thanks so much for playing!

Papa bless, it was an ok experience, too bad for the excessive amount of waiting and the softlocks, they got so bad at one point that I couldn't even finish the game.

Nice. Like vinnie said waiting for the cycles can be a little frustrating. I also got a few times into corners/edges and it seems to put the game in an infinite loop, had to close the game each time

I enjoyed this one a lot! I'm a sucker for arcade-y stealth games.
I enjoyed the wall-jump and the focus on mobility. Gameplay felt really solid, and the character was fun to control.
My only complaint is running into a few instances of frustrating level design. There was one level that has you waiting for a robot to complete a cycle before you're allowed to enter and go up a shaft. Each time you died, you had to wait however many seconds it took for that to happen, which got kind of frustrating. But that's a small thing that can be fixed with some simple level editing.
Awesome job! I enjoyed playing!

Thanks so much for playing! It means a lot to me that you liked it and got far enough into the game to get to that part with the really slow cycles. Thanks for the feedback on that part as well. If I ever work on this game more, I probably will make the turning animation faster and put in some time reworking the cycles. Thanks again!
